your gonna wanna remove the foil, i've heard it cause really bad hotspots which can BURN your plant. white surface are better for reflecting or mylar (which is expensive) A cheap substitute for the mylar is emergency blankets for a $1.50 , you can find these bad boys @ wal-mart in the camping...
