hi mate, i havnt been using hps yet will do in about a week, i left it on the other day for an hour and it didnt seem that hot in the box, but by the time i start using it i will have a new temp gauge. and like i said earlier if it is to hot in there its not a problem for me to leave the door...

cheers mate, surely your plant will be done within the next week, I would have cut it being the impatient person that I am lol am I right saying that my 250w hps puts out 27000 lumens, when you measure lumens per sq ft do you only count what's under the reflector? Would anyone mind working...

yeah I've got loads of cfl supplys plus a couple 250w 6400k, that's what I have over the pots at the moment, I will use that then for a week or two. Look near the end pages of the grow in my sig then you will see them

yeah same here aswell " watch and learn " should I say. Hi ms everythings looking good, I havnt checked ur grow out for a little while and havnt even looked in the cfl section for a week!! U can probably guess my eyes have been focused on HID, cfl's are and have been great but HID fits in...

hello again got a few more details here. the grow box measurments are h 31" w 23" d 24" im hoping i can control the heat ok but if it is to hot i can leave the door open as its in my loft so doesnt matter. i was very surprised as to the heat that kicks out of that 250w hps, plus on the ballast...

of course it will but more is always better when it comes to lumens, and as that is one big closet have you thought of using like half of it? That would bump the lumens per sq ft up nicely.

because they prodce more light in the blue spectrum, but I'm sure the hps will be just fine I see many people doing whole grows with hps go for it:leaf:
