Do you have a nursery close by? If so -go there---They have grade perlite in big bags for cheap...

The OCEAN FORREST is one of the best soils-I use it all the time--I add alot of their BIG CHUNK perlite to it and get better results faster than without the added perlite. +reps to you

Get the "FOXFARM BIG AND CHUNKY" and use 1/2 soil/1/2 perlite---You will have to feed and water more often, but your roots and plants will develop faster-The best results in soil come from lite fast draining mediums---It will promote more oxygen to the root zone as someone said in earlier...

Not that it matters but you can use potassium tabs in the softeners instead of salt-----My RO line comes from a separate line in the house(not the soften line) you know my situation---my tap water is 716ppm's hard as &^^&. You have to have a softener or your skin will be jerky:mrgreen:

Could it be that the plant used the bud as an energy source? It would seem to me that after two weeks into your flush with RO only that you would have consumed all the energy from the leaf(but they are dark purple) they don't look like the atypical color of a flush in progress where nutes are...
