It actually depends on the subsoil... If it is high in clay or silty clay, then it won't drain as quickly as porous sandstone or sand.. Are you holes dug into alluvium? or weathered bedrock??

Think of the negatives... You would not be able to grow regular strains outdoors because there would be so much lowryder pollen in the air... Plus you would just have a perpetual cycle of short plants that would be seeded ALL the time!~ I think it would wipe out marijuana as we know it...
