You can do 12/12 from seed but make sure you have a lot of plants to get a decent yield.

I would push the lights up a couple inches and watch them take off. Outside the sun isn't laying on top of plants thats why they get so big and bushy and tall.

Question how many cfl did you use? Also in the past I've had cfls close to my plants and all it did was dry out the soil and the plants. Last time I kept it 4 inches away and my plants came out nice and big. I don't agree with that cfl sitting on top of the plant thing.

The 600w hps will turn it all around. MAKE SURE you keep it 20" away from the top of the plant. Or youll be back here asking more questions lol. But you should be ok though man don't worry. And make sure you have a good exhaust for the room so it doesnt get to hot.

Yea your night temps need to be cold. I'd go as low as 58 to get that purp.

Yea pics will help tons man. Just describing it is not good enough because we are making pics in our head of what your plants look like and may diagnose your plants incorrectly leaving your months worth of work dead. But yea pics would be good haha :)

You got it right. You can actually use HPS from seed to flowering.

You need nutes and make sure you have the right color temp for the flowering stage.

That plant is going to get to at least 5' with good lighting and feeding.

You may as well try to finish them up inside and grab at least 5 soft white cfl's from home depot. Those plants look like they have been over watered to so watch out for that. Keep that humidity low to or youll get mold on your buds.
