Yes it will work ive done it a few times. Make sure the timer kicks in just before sundown and keep a small cfl going until about 11-12pm to stop flowering.
Make sure the glow of the light at night till 11pm doesn't look weird to the neighbors. .
You are fixing the ph in the soil and all of a sudden the main cola is removed?? how did this happen , where is the cola ? Did you smoke it ? its no where near ready bro.
Root rot. Not much you can do now, next grow use H2O2 concentrated at about 30% at 1:600 in the res every 4 days . You could also try a chiller to control pathogens.
The seedlings will grow faster, clones can take up to 2 weeks to start growing even if roots are there.
Seedling cant flower for first 4-5 weeks so they take longer than clones to start flowering.
The crap one is nute burnt, flush , dont feed or water again until its recovered.

Get a dome for now and clean your fucking house up a bit more and put some traps out .
You need to re pot it into a bigger pot. The yellowing is a classic sign of root stress being too root bound plus salt builds up quicker in the small pot between feedings causing more issues.
