Help this noob find the correct order of mixing my nutrients

You have the 1st step right for sure. Silica is always first.. I'd need to look at the the products you are using to be sure, but I've always been told that calmag should pretty much always be added before micros and macros, but your products may suggest something different. My order is silica...

20 light shipping container grow update

My thoughts exactly. 2 of those underground on a bunch of land and I would be a very happy camper. Ah hell, who am I kidding? I'd be happy with a decent size greenhouse on a couple of acres in the country...

    Seedling/White Widow

I'll try to be constructive before the less kind members show up. The first thing you can do to help us help you is give us a summary of your grow. What kind of soil are you using, what kind of nutrients (how much, how often), how are you watering (how often), what kind of light are you using...

Does a reliable feminized line even exist?

Literally none of that has anything to do with what I was talking about. You are harping on about grower skill and pretending breeding isn't important. We get it, you have a really high opinion of your own abilities. Goody for you. I've been growing for over 25 years so I'm not someone who needs...

Does a reliable feminized line even exist?

We aren't talking about taking a genetic line with a predisposition to hermaphrodite tendencies and then selfing them. Thats just bad practice and if you sell them i think its unethical. You can self even the most stable genetic lines, and the act of doing so does not cause the offspring to have...

Does a reliable feminized line even exist?

Pollen chucking has its place. So does proper breeding. When I want a reliable grow of a strain I'm familiar with, stable genetics are wonderful. I made fem seeds of my favorite strain because I wanted to keep it around without having to rely on mothers and cloning. After many generations of...

Does a reliable feminized line even exist?

I have a genetic line that I've been working with on and off for 20+ years that I've never seen produce hermaphroditic triats. I've seen it throw nanners twice and both times were the result of extreme stress. I'm not certain what you mean by herm free, but there are plenty of stable genetic...

Does a reliable feminized line even exist?

I run fems frequently and have only had one strain that had a serious tendency towards throwing nanners. I kept it anyway though because it is my favorite strain. The rest have been well behaved. Have you tried In House Genetics?

Promix hp users, I'd appreciate your input and advice.

Not amending this run, but I definitely added extra perlite. I add extra perlite to almost every medium I use.

Well, I've got 4 healthy seedlings. Just transplanted them into solo cups with the pm hp. When do you guys start giving nutrients? With rdwc and coco i always make sure I have a little ppm going on even if the plant doesn't need it yet. Would that apply to pm hp or do you all let the seedling...

    In House Genetics Thread

Beautiful plants everybody! Haven't gotten any recent releases from IHG, but Orkle has been continuously in my rotation since I got my hands on it a couple years back. A truly remarkable strain. I'm surprised they haven't re-released it. I'm super happy I took clones and made seeds because it...

Thanks for the tip! I'll be transplanting twice during this grow so I am hopeful that the addition of fresh medium will help maintain proper buffering. If not, I have some dolomite lime laying around.

Best yield....photo or auto in a 24x2x454 tent?

Hydroponics, 1 plant (photo period), scrog, and 135 to 200 watts of high efficiency LED. Or, same thing but sog instead of scrog. Fin.

That was my reason for asking. I knew it contained a buffer but thought maybe the amount added was insufficient. I think I'll be trying it as is for now.

What is your reason for adding it? pH buffering?

I am partial to fully organic living soil when it comes to non hydro grows. I've used salt nutes in soil before, but was never able to get the hang of it. The soil bacteria just never seemed to get along with salt based nutrients. I guess I like the extremes.. soil filled with bugs, poops...

    Flowering in one gallon pots

That completely depends on the medium. If that's a hydroponic medium like pro mix or a coco/peat blend you might be able to get away with it depending on the size of the plants. I'd still never flower in 1 gal unless I was running SOG. Even in coco I flower in 3 gal pots. If I'm growing in...

I knew what you meant.. lol. My hydro store actually sells a line of salts where you can buy each macro and quite a few micros separately. Its a bit pricey but I have used it in the past because I don't like running standard calmag heavy during flower. Allows me to input only what I need. But...

I like Si in hydro because some of the genetics I run tend towards weak branches (especially with lots of topping and training) and the Si saves me a ton of headaches. 800ppm sounds reasonable, about what i ran in rdwc. What is the sweet spot for seedlings? I always started super low in coco...
