I just had some autos finish that were originally outside. They just weren't reaching their full potential. So I finished them inside in the tent. The results...
(I wear an "XL" sized glove) These are fully dry and beginning to cure. Hard as rocks. Got 5 of the big mason jars full of quality...
Yea man, you arent kidding about that wind. Great for finishing up though. Mold will have a tough time catching on in that wind tunnel of a porch you have!
I would definitely stake those babies. Wind is great. But unchecked, insane wind, on young unsupported plants can be a big issue. As I'm...
Nice! It will be cool to see how that goes.
When I have attempted similar things in years past, our weather in the fall has prevented me from going the distance.
This could be the year! I'm deff interested to see how that goes!
Cool. I'll chop some. I've just never topped this late.
I lollipop sometimes, but more for airflow and mold concerns than wasted energy.
On the years outdoors that I've had 2 of the same plants done differently (one lollipopped and one not), Ive never really noticed an appreciable difference...
Yeaaaa buddy. Looking real happy.
The stretch has been on my mind lately. I can tell flower is coming any day now. I know a few of them are transitioning already. And with a bunch of plants around 6 feet tall...I'm concerned things are gonna get out of hand, preventing me from protecting them...
I had a thought about the damage a few of us have been seeing.
Mike posted this...
Which is similar to the damage I saw on mine. Holes in the leaves up to the vein. I thought "where have i seen that before?" And then it dawned on me.
Who else has noticed a SHITLOAD of these bastards this year...
Oh dude...I didnt even think what is gonna happen when these stretch. This is the first year I'm REALLY feeling dialed in, and the results have been extremely large plants. Haha. And now they are gonna stretch.
But honestly...how much taller can they get in 7-10gal pots? Right?
My money is on crickets or hoppers. The reason I say that is because I have a plant with damage in the exact same spot, that looks very similar (not as severe), and I thought it was slugs.
So I put out a bowl of beer, and nothing. For weeks. Nada.
So hoppers and crickets is my bet.
Checked my pictures for exact dates, in case it will be helpful.
This is April 18...
And this is around a month later, May 17-18.
We measured them yesterday, the tallest is a BlueBerry Fem over 6 foot (10gal pot), the rest are between 5 and 6 feet (7gal pots)
Haha. Mid April. They were under T5s and outside when it was nice (which wasnt often) until early Mat for most of them.
Worked out well. They are monsters. I have a ton of defoliating to do. Haha
I pay closer attention to their signals and make sure I'm ready to respond.
Usually for me, regardless of when they were watered last, they will get all sucked out and skinny. Then I water them and they get all jacked up with 40min and look great.
They are currently all (but 1 in a 2gallon...
I have a bunch of Mephistos going right now and my experience so far has been that outdoors...its gonna be tough to get their full potential. Of the 5 I have going now, I have 3 outdoors and 2 in a tent, all started 1 month ago.
The 3 outdoors are a mixed bag. 1 looks like yours, 1 is tall but...
These Double Grapes are growing crazy fast. Since this is my first rodeo I'm going to take the breeders advice and just do some leaf tucking. Hopefully I can perfect my approach over the next few grows.
Anyway, they have almost tripled in size over the last 9 days. It's insane. At this point...
I have this "Northern Lights × Big Bubba" auto outside in 17 gallons of soil. The thing has kind of been an orphan. I've fed it like the rest. But nothing else. And it's good size (compared to its sisters). Its in the brown plastic pot to the right of the BlueBerry (which is center frame, 5.5"...
Very. We love ridgebacks and decided years back that they would be our selected indoor/family/security breed. We have sheperds doing the outside duty.
Ridgebacks are super stubborn, but they also have more of a drive for food then any other breed I've seen, so they are very trainable. They have...
Thanks bud. Cant complain so far this season, knock on wood.
That's "Cerb". Hes a big boy (Outside the fence. Pronounced 'serb'). He sleeps inside the fenced pool area with the plants at night. It's a 20x40 in ground pool, so the fenced area is pretty big. He loves protecting plants.
Wow. All the updates from everyone look positive.
With everyone having such a solid summer...it appears the weather we get this fall is our only obstacle to victory.
Very happy with the June weather. Fingers crossed for rest of the summer (and more importantly, Sept/Oct).
All the plants are...
