    Recent Break-up

So, my girlfriend finally gave our relationship the ax. wednesday morning over coffee. ironically, this is two weeks prior to when i was planning on doing the same thing--she's moving out then for a work gig across state for the summer--but I guess she couldn't wait to beat me to the punch...

Soil Food Web Gardening with Compost Teas

I'm surprised you're brewing for only 24 hours. i was under the impression kelp delayed/retarded microbial activity for about the first 18-24 hours, thereby requiring brews that include kelp to go for around 36-48 hours. have you scoped your brew before use? I'd love to know what kind of water...

    Vape vs Traditional

this experience has to do with the specific cannabinoid profile you are activating via vaporization vs. combustion. Check out fuckcombustion.com for robust discussion about vaporization. if your vaporizer has an adjustable heating element, you can achieve the more indica-like (i.e. the...

    Hawaiian Skunk Haze?? Herbies?

i've definitely got some thick-stalk genetics, as well, though i've watered with aloe juice so that could contribute to stalk vigor. in other news, both of my delicious cotton candy seem to have been duds; everything else has been stored, handled, and germinated in the same way, and, excepting...

    Hawaiian Skunk Haze?? Herbies?

ive got two of the same phenotype and they are some leggy sativas. anyone else getting ridiculous internodal spacing? i've got like 3-4" between nodes after topping a la "uncle ben's method". Also, one of the two only threw three colas instead of four :/ . So, personally, just on the aesthetics...

SST (sprouted seed tea) do's and donts?

yep just thought of this too. i usually (around this time of year) am brewing my teas with a thermostatic aquarium heater that keeps the water between 68 and 72*; in that environment, a couple sst ice cubes around hour 40 (for a 42hr brew) should be ready to go by tea time. thanks stow! be easy...

SST (sprouted seed tea) do's and donts?

See this is what I originally posed as a solution, since I saw in the AACT thread that you said people can, and have been doing this successfully. And it makes good intuitive sense because all kinds of enzymes are stored this way (frozen/low temps) throughout the science and medical fields...

Garden/Lawn Dial-A-Spray application of nute tea and sst

Thanks for the reply smokin away; I also found that concrete sprayers and other large nozzled compressed air based sprayers work well for the job. As for watering, I recently just put 1/4c or so of liquid humic acid in my dial-a-spray, set it to the second lowest setting, and shot the water up...

SST (sprouted seed tea) do's and donts?

Any developments in SST? i've been adding kvass to my compost and my hot pepper beds and they are rich and delicious smelling. I love the simplicity of the kvass FPE process too; just make up some kvass, wait 3 days, add your plant to be fermented (i'm using some kelp meal and banana peel in the...

The organic philosophy: How far do you take it?

Great thread Countyboy, I'm also moving more and more towards sustainability alongside organics. in fact, local, natural, sustainable are actually as important to me as organic processes--though "natural" and "organic" most likely share a significant amount of overlap, the only difference really...

DEA Raided This Woman's House After She Shopped At A Garden Store

I will say, on the "smell of cannabis" point, it is a common joke in the public defender's offices that police officers have nugs stuck in their noses. the frequency with which it is reported, particularly in traffic stops, as justification for searching without a warrant, particularly if the...
