In addition to a pair of 288s i also ran a 96 Elite v2. They are indeed little powerhouses. I was only running mine at around 100 watts on that run and it was still exceptionally bright.
Seems like they are mainly touting it as a faster method of producing cannabinoids for use in scientific studies. Barring any further info I'm not particularly uncomfortable with that. I would, however, be alarmed if they moved into production for commercial consumption without some pretty...

Quantum Board is a trademarked brand name by HLG. If you didn't buy something made by HLG you don't have a QB, you have a knockoff. And from the look of it, most likely low quality knockoffs from a questionable vendor. There is an entire thread for knockoff boards and that...
I've heard many people sing the praises of Rapid. Excellent customer service is one of the reasons I love HLG, and any other company that is doing things the right way deserve recognition.
The assembly is anything but complicated. If you can operate a screw driver and can push some wire into a connector you have all the skillls needed to build an HLG kit.
Now you are talking about great lights... HLG uses top bin, high efficiency diodes. The prebuilt fixtures are great, and if you are even a tiny bit handy with tools the diy kits they sell offer the chance for a top shelf light at a decent price. I own 3 HLG lights at the momemt and they are...
We could just end all the speculation if the OP could just gives a make and model on the lights in question. Beyond that, I agree with the previous posts... if a grow light is suggesting a cool down after 8 to 10 hours it is very likely a poorly made light built from low quality parts.
There is definitely a bit of an adjustment with 'white' LED if you are coming from HPS. I was upping my calcium and magnesium as well when i first ran them because my plants seemed deficient. Once i figured out that i had to run my room (ambient air temps) warmer under my QBs the cal/mag...
You can't get blood from a stone ya'll. There is no actual data to be had, so just stop asking him for it. He will never support claims with vetted scientific studies, he will never coherently expound on his rants, and he will never be swayed regardless of the overwhelming weight of facts to...
I have an entire thread documenting my first grow with QBs. There are pictures. Also, i don't get huge yeilds because I grow for myself in 2x3 or 3x3. Unless you consider 8.5 ounces dried (the yeild of my most recent harvest) under 200 watts of quantum boards huge yeild... that was done...
