Very true. Even those have been exceedingly rare for me. I had my exhaust fan fail when i was away on a long weekend a couple years back and the heat stress cause maybe 10 or 15 nanners on one plant. Other than that I've been lucky.

Mainlining is a fairly high stress form of training for a first time grower. If you are dead set on giving it a try without any grows under your belt i recommend making absolutely sure you know what you're doing and make sure your plants are super healthy before you begin.

Other than a few stress induced nanners i have never had any kind of gender swapping shenanigans in my grows... maybe I've just been really lucky. I see people talking about it on forums constantly, but i started in the early 90s and I'd have thought i would have seen it at least a few times.

True story. It would probably be safer to sterilize your grow space with a flame thrower than it would be to use ClF3.

A starter blumat kit can be had for like 45 bucks on amazon. All you would need to supply is a bucket do act a a reservoir. You could try a DIY solution, and it may even work perfectly, but to me 45 bucks is a small price to pay to make sure months of time and effort don't end up being wasted.
