I've heard many people sing the praises of Rapid. Excellent customer service is one of the reasons I love HLG, and any other company that is doing things the right way deserve recognition.

The assembly is anything but complicated. If you can operate a screw driver and can push some wire into a connector you have all the skillls needed to build an HLG kit.

We could just end all the speculation if the OP could just gives a make and model on the lights in question. Beyond that, I agree with the previous posts... if a grow light is suggesting a cool down after 8 to 10 hours it is very likely a poorly made light built from low quality parts.
