Seeds in my plants, 6 weeks into flower today.

Again, it depends on why the plant hermied. If it was in perfect health and started chucking nanners then you are probably dealing with crap genetics. If it hermied because of stress factors (over feeding, under feeding, extreme temps or humidity, over watering etc etc) then more than likely...

Seeds in my plants, 6 weeks into flower today.

I have a strong aversion to genetics that throw nanners on a healthy plant. I've had nanners with very stable genetics, but that has pretty much always been grower error related stress triggers. I have no problem at all using seeds that result from stress induced nanners. There is no...

Viparspectra, meizhi, mars grams per watt?

I pulled over a gpw on my first grow with an HLG QB with almost no effort. Topped twice and watched her do her thing.

Viparspectra, meizhi, mars grams per watt?

I am the biggest fanboy of HLG ever, i own 2 288s and a 96 Elite v2, and i would never go back to blurple after seeing what these boards can do. But I've never been one to slander blurples without cause. There were some decent blurple panels along the way, but for the most part they weren't...

ok, how could I go wrong with a hair straighener?

I have the same one. Cheap and effective!

ok, how could I go wrong with a hair straighener?

2%? That would break my heart! The stuff i have from my last run yields quite well, even on my crappy old diy 2 ton. Excited to see what i can pull with my new press.

ok, how could I go wrong with a hair straighener?

I've got a little press i made with a 2 ton bottle jack and 2x2 plates that i used before i got this new one. I used bottle tech for that, I'm just not finding any bag sizes that seem right for 2.5x6 plates. I guess i could use small bag and do 2 bottle tech style at the same time.

ok, how could I go wrong with a hair straighener?

What size bags do you use for that? I just got a 7 ton press with 2.5x6 plates and I'm trying to figure out what size bag is going to work best for me...

What size are the plates on that press @The Dawg ?

My lady seems a little sad.

No offense taken at all. I stay far away bleach in my res personally. I've had to use great white in the past when my temps got out of control and it helped, but temperature control is where it is at.

Technically that is still just running it sterile. You don't need to add anything to run sterile, you just need to keep your reservoir temps at a level where you don't get pathogens. Since not everybody has an environment where they can keep temps in the goldilocks zone, understanding ways to...

    Biggest leafs ever?!?

I had a plant do that in hydro once. If i remember correctly there was some pH problems and N toxicity going on at the time. Freaky big, overly green and some very odd texture. Possibly RH issues as well.

    COB heat

70% is way too high in flower. I keep my RH at 45% or so during flower with no issues.

    COB heat

Currently i am running HLG Quantum Boards. Efficiency is as good or better than COB and it works better for me now as i have more height restrictions than i used to. I'll eventually get more space and at that point I'll be putting the cobs back into the mix as I've seen stellar results from...

    COB heat

I'm not sure you know what IR is... "Light sources produce infra-red radiation, perceived as heat. Its amount depends on the type of lamp used. Any object under direct light is therefore subject to constant thermal stress, which can change its properties. In food stores, clothes shops...

Overall i think the setup you have in the works will serve you well. You should have the flexibility to tweak the environment until you find the happy medium. I'd do everything you can to keep the lights on temps above 75 though, I've noticed a measurable loss in growth rates under my LEDs...

    COB heat

If your ambient is 65 you will probably looking at 72 to 75 with the exhaust you mentioned above. Good for your reservoir, possibly not optimal for your canopy temps. But better a lower than optimal canopy temp than catastrophic root rot. Do you not have a cooler for your res?
  18. NanoGadget

    COB heat

Should be fine. Honestly, 85 isn't even that far outside optimal for LED. Without the IR to heat up the surface of the leaves at canopy level like you would get with HPS, I have found that my plants like a slightly higher ambient temperature than they did when i ran HPS. 80 to 84 seems to...

My lady seems a little sad.

It's either/or. Go sterile or go with beneficials. If you are putting enzymes and benefical bacteria in your reservoir you should never use bleach or h2o2. It's like filling a room up with helper monkeys and then killing them all with poison gas. I've used both methods with success, but you...

    GroErr Grows...

Same. In the meantime, just to keep it going, here is a picture of the old school skunk genetics i was talking to @GroErr about a few pages back. Week and half or so into flower for the only seed that popped.
