So the experiments cratered I think because I didn't use hot enough water to start out. Heated the bottles up a bit and placed all of them in the veg room. Was 1475 ppm at 10 pm. That's 29 hours above 1000 ppm.
. This may or may not make it to the list of myths. I've seen the same quoted in various chats/sites but have seen no proof at all. Kinda hard to test as it takes multiple harvests To prove.
it was a seed bank mystery seed, if I had known it was a lowryder I would have chosen something else - instead of adding new growth tips it made one really huge cola with multiple heads - a real mutant but it happened on both topped and pruned plants.
no, you only cut the one time. And yes...
haven't even thought about economics now but as to trouble there are people who collect rain water for god's sake. It really is pretty easy to set up and you don't have to visit the hydro store. I even avoided buying the trap with a little drip hose, some glue and a medicine bottle, and used...
under my best med right now, so maybe off and I'll revisit and edit if needed, but I want to say about 50 ppm a minute in a 384 cubic ft room.
Edit - it takes 2 minutes to increase by 50 ppm in my 384 cubic ft room, so 25 ppm per minute.
:-?
Just gotta say, doing these experiments is a real pain. Either I have to hold my breath when I go into the rooms or I have to vent the room bAck down to my pre- visit level. And i for one get a lot of pleasure out of tending to my plants. I might take just as much care for a non medicinal...
You'll have a LOT better chance of getting something worth smoking if you do a little reading. Start with a great growing tutorial by an expert on this site in the first link in my signature. Welcome and good growing.
You first need to know whether you're sizing a fan just for odor control or for temperature control as well. Look at the ventilation section of the grow room tutorial in my signature.
You can switch to 12/12 anytime during a grow, including from the start. The longer you veg, the larger the plant and thus yield. Plant can double or more in height when flowering so make sure you have the space.
Second experiment - I'm using the same ratio of ingredients scaled down for my smaller flowering room. The purpose of this experiment is to test the impact on co2 of a leakier room and larger plants. Mix is 1.6 gallons water/2.2 pound sugar/32 grams yeast ( probably way too much).
Third...
well, the fermentation reaction finally petered out below 1,000 ppm co2 this afternoon. it lasted 2 1/2 days which was at the low end of my estimated run time. it appeared there was still sugar left in the mixture, so it probably ended because there was too much yeast resulting in high levels...
