I've looked into Jack's 10-30-20 Blossom Booster, and I think that's the answer actually. Super simple, super cheap, and from what Im reading, you weren't kidding about the love this stuff gets.
That is awesome advice. Thanks! Really good stuff.
So far it sounds like the fox farm bottles will be the way to go. I like the idea of spreading out the feedings and then eating when I water them. That sounds like a good fit for my situation.
Thanks again!
Thanks! I hope so! And I really appreciate all the info.
When they were in pots I was giving them Happy Frog Tomato and veg Nutes. It's 7-4-5, top dressing, once a month. Then every 3rd watering or so in between feedings I'd give them some Alaskan fish emulsion stuff if it looked like they...
Oh man, whole thing was done that day. Cleared a 10x12 area, fenced it with posts and 7ft steel deer fence, and had them transplanted in 3 hours. Was an epic day.
Cant wait to see how they like it.
Do you feed plants in the ground the same way as in pots? What's the SOP for that if Im using...
Holy shit boys...you guys were correct. Before and after I finished the transplant they were all drooping and sad looking. It's been a few hours. They are all perky already!
Thanks for the motivation gang (Rob Roy and Thumper). You fellas are swell. This has added a whole new dimension to my...
I did it. Got them out no problem by making 1 cut down the side. Didnt even disturb the dirt on the sides, they were so bound.
Moved 5 of them into a new pen I built next to my blueberry and Blackberry bushes...it looked like this...
Now it looks like this...
Couldn't get them all in, but got...
I'll do it. I have some totes and some old garbage cans.
Question on the soil...I have like 8 bags of left over top soil in bags from doing some work on the lawn. Could I use that?
I could just cut the pots off I guess. They arent that expensive. I never really planned on going bigger but now you guys have me thinking.
When you say dumb pots, I'm assuming that means you dont like these? I thought they would be good for keeping some smallish plants. With the air pruning...
Yup. South Shore, MA. And welcome! This is my second season on this site. Last year was my first time growing anything. This is an awesome place...
They are doing well so far. I should have gone bigger with my smart pots. I chickened out.
There are some (1 or 2 per plant) yellow leaves deep...
Oh man...trust me, it's no secret. Hahaha. They've been wanting more room for weeks. I planned on a few small plants this year staying in 5gal pots until harvest, and now they are exploding. I might drop a couple in a much bigger container to see what happens. Nothing would make me happier then...
Almost game time for the little ladies...
Amnesia Haze
Og Kush
The "wildling" Super Skunks are getting huge. Just need to up the neem oil regiment since they are exposed...
And one group shot..
Might go bigger then 5gal pots next year. But so far so good. All getting much taller much...
Looking good. I'm doing good so far I think. Only problem is they wont stop drinking. They would take a gallon and a half a day if I let them. In 5 gallon smart pots. Letting them dry completely before watering, but complete dry is taking 1 day after total wet. Its mental.
Anyone ever deal with these fellas? I got Great Black Wasps nesting 2 ft from my plants.
Not sure how "Great" I feel about it...since they are like 1.5 inches long...
My wife said they are pollinators and eat catapillars and stuff, so to be thankful and leave them alone.
Hell yes. I am expecting everything to be in flower right after that. Last year it was around the 12 or 13 of August that I hit full on flower. So pumped to see how these plants develop. I'm hoping all my topping and training and pruning will pay off!
I might even try smoking some this year...
Rain last night, so they are finally quenched. Nice sun today. Perfect!
These are the few wild ones I put out in the yard to see what happens. Apparently the grow amazing in the ground on the side of a hill with no nutes? (around 50 inches so far)
And a few little clones I plan on tying...
They still have some shine on them from the neem...
Finally got a mutant leaf (top right, fused fingers)
I'm guessing my next feed in 8ish days will be the last veg feed?
That topping really works. Those outside branches are from the very bottom of the trunk.
