    Soil Recipe Comments WANTED

thanks for stopping by! Yes its a plan for indoor gals; I'll be doing 3-4 3 gallon pots in a 4x2x6 with some PAR T5. Because of the pot size and tent size I generally go for 3-5' plants. Since the pots are only 3 gallon, I figured its senseless to go with a supersoil methodology. I didn't...

Hey I'm coming back full circle to an organic grow where I started. To be honest, this is partially influenced by the fact that I;ve finally got my veggie garden cycling properly through the year and have some left over stuff that I used last summer to overhaul that project. So i've got a bale...

So, we're gearing up again for a new run through. Last time with the 12/12 didn't turn out like i'd hoped....i'm off the 12/12 growing for now--too much research on genetics required etc. and with that info hard to trust, I'd rather not worry with it. Seeds input: I'm thinking about either...

I could see this going either way: it's been a while since I studied fluid dynamics but I'm pretty sure what draws the air through is the water moving down and through the medium, then out the hole...if you water across the top of the medium evenly, and the medium drains properly, it should draw...

other quick fix is 5mL of liquid humic acid, bubbled for 2 hours! but vit. c also works! (humic gives the slightest P boost, instead of the slightest N boost) be easy!

not sure if anyone has gotten back to you but if you're really paranoid about rootrot, watering with a light h2o2 solution tends to protect against it. Now, I'm no expert on rootrot, so you'd need to find the right ratios, and this is generally a fix recommended when rootrot has already been...

I'll spare the sordid details of what's been going on since the last update since really all that happened is three dudes showed themselves and were immediately killed off which leaves me with two little girls. To be honest, 5 was too many for the tent, it woulda been a pretty unmanageable...

Hey Hempyneers, been a while! So here's what's happened in the last little bit: 3/5 turned out to be males :( possible that some pH or nute def. stress plus some inhospitable temperatures are to blame, or they were just dudes. either way, got PK1 and NorthernBerry going strong. They're super...

Mobius was talking about straight perilite or possibly the traditional 3:1 perlite : vermiculite mix i believe...anyway, good luck with your mix man. I might recommend doing one plant straight perlite, one the traditional, and one your mix to compare the experiences...it would be nice to get a...

Nice to hear! I'm just about to feed the ladies and I've got 5 gallons of organic apple cider vinegar! sah-weet! i'll stick with it through flowering and let you know if its any better than the powdered citric acid (which i'm assuming is comparable to lemon juice)!...I'd really love to get a pH...

Hey Watt, my H2O specs are pretty good on calcium and fine on magnesium but I was thinking about adding some next feeding. The canoeing/twisting etc. I was thinking came from pH being too high...i try to keep it between 5.8 and 6.3, which i'll be keeping closer to 5.8-6.0 from here on out. They...

check out the "automatic watering system for hempy buckets" thread....it describes a system that is basically a sumbmersible pump with 1/4 black distribution tubing piped to staked bubbler heads. Use 1/4" tees to connect each bubbler head stake to the water supply line. So, for example, if you...

Thanks Shag, On the lemon juice thing, have you ever tried vinegar? any preference? I've heard vinegar holds the pH longer and that may be preferable because I have a res. constantly bubbling that I draw on to make AACT batches as well as waterings and I've just been using powdered citric acid...

Not much to report; We went with a 34.5hr dark period before turning the lights on and have what I will call an "early autumn" blend of light from the T5s. I've rearranged the lights to better accommodate the girls but I may still run out of space and have to finish one of these elsewhere. The...

Pic update! A little bit of weird burnishness took place you might notice some (i'm guessing a little heat, maybe some pH swing, but most likely just no love for 10+ days. The autowatering system worked to keep em pretty healthy and the thermostat seems to have done fairly well with temps (but...
