sure, you'll lose some, but that doesn't matter at all. what matters is the amount and temperature of air that passes the light and your four inch fan is what will determine the amount of air.
unless you're really lucky with your situation you are going to need to vent all the way out of your basement, and you'll want insulated ducting to control the heat. also, it looks like you plan on vegging and flowering at the same time, which is a good idea. but your tent is going to need to...
had the same problems, tried the same things, finally got it to work. for the whole story check out the last link in my signature below. for the short version - the a/c is your problem. first, you have to seal the back end so that no hot exhaust air is getting into the room. if you can't...
sounds more like a soil or watering problem. are you using new soil or used? if used, have you properly prepped it for a new grow? have you checked the ph of the soil?
as much total light as you have, you'd like that much per adult female plant to get a good yield. less light will work but you'll produce a lot less bud.
and you should mix your soil and perlite better so the perlite's evenly distributed throughout the pot.
it's just the way temps were originally measured in order to separate the effects of radiant heat and air temperature. regardless of radiant heat, if the air temp is above about 85 f the plant's biology slows down. regardless of air temp, if the radiant heat is too high the plant's leaves will...
no - 3 females in total. the one cut is fimmed/pruned. one of the other two is as well. the third one is fimmed only. the double the yield is fimmed/pruned vs fimmed alone. comparison to come in a couple of weeks but in fullness of sharing info let everyone know i cut one of the comparison...
comparison in double your yield in sig below/this thread at beginning - fimming plus pruning vs fimming alone. fimming alone plant is the comparison plant and will be done in a couple of weeks, as will a second fimming + pruning plant. this was an early chop for personal reasons but will still...
