hydro nute used for soil ?

coco is a growing medium, I've never heard of it being used in a nute. You might as well use it, as that's all you have. I mean, it's not going to kill them but the concentrations are low compared to most soil ferts.

hydro nute used for soil ?

lol you bought a coco nute, made for use in a coco substrate. Either buy some coco or get a new nutrient source. It might work, but probably not well enough to make it worth using.

    Need some real help guys.

The light you bought's a good one. You'll be able to use it through all stages of your growth, just make sure to give your seedlings plenty of distance so they can get used to it at first. Your plants are dead though, you shouldn't have taken the clone out of rockwool, it probably already had...

    Simple but important ?

EC has to do with electrical conductivity, it measures the TDS, or total dissolved solids, in your water measured in PPMs, or parts per million. As for what can be done with this information, I'm not altogether sure. If it's too high you should get some kind of filtration system so it's less...

Doseage for Epsom Salt foliar spray?

It also says: for best results, water after usage. So it's possible they were referring to foliar watering.

Doseage for Epsom Salt foliar spray?

It's a bag and I'd assume soil, but it doesn't specify... that was their instruction for indoor word 4 word. Heck, I didn't even know you could use epsom salts to feed the foliage.

6 weeks into flower GREAT PICS

Thanks dude I'll look into it. I've never used coco before and just dropped a buck fifty on amazon and didn't want to get too overboard with all the different nutes so i'll make sure to get the whole deal before I go into flowering. Probably even before that as I'm going to have to stop my...

Doseage for Epsom Salt foliar spray?

I just bought some and the label says for Houseplants mix one teaspoon per gallon of water and feed to plants every one to four weeks. I haven't used any yet myself. Wasn't sure if I got the right kind since it was sulphured but I might have been confusing that with the molasses.

How many inches should a 150w HPS be from plant tops?

Some people have said the closer the better as long as you can manage the heat, but I've noticed light bleaching on my plants if lights are too close. Maybe that's only with the higher strength bulbs. I'm running a 400watter and had it about a ft. away and the tops were turning yellow so I...

Help with metal halide light question

Not positive but I think the grow metal halides have increased red/orange specturm for the flowering stage. A conventional bulb will put out plenty of light for 2 plants unless you've got some 7ft. monsters. You're light might be too close. Even without heat, plants can get stressed from...

How to do this pH thing right?

Alright, so I'm getting some pH testers to figure out where my water is and where it needs to be. I'm buying strips because they're cheaper and I figure I only need to test my water supply once and I'll be able to determine what I need in what quantity from then on and just keep it consistant...

What soil, equipment and lightbulbs would anyone recommend?

I do have one question that I'm not sure deserves its own thread, but I can't find a definate answer yet. I'm growing from bag seeds, so I'll only be able to determine if a plant is female, and her potency and yeild is by completing flowering. Do you know if it's ok to harvest a fully flowered...

What soil, equipment and lightbulbs would anyone recommend?

thanks for the advice. +rep for you my friend. Think I'm going to go heavily coco, and I've pretty much got no choice but to order that and it's nutes online. The coco thread here is awesome, btw. I'm learning so much from this forum, it's great.

What soil, equipment and lightbulbs would anyone recommend?

Hopefully If I can get enough funds around before my next start-up, which is probably going to be pretty soon here, I'm going to get a bunch of different mediums and experiment with what works best. My planters aren't all that big so next time I'm going to use those cups that roots can grow...

What soil, equipment and lightbulbs would anyone recommend?

I wouldn't grow in the Miracle Grow Moisture Control. I used 1 bag of that, two bags of their regular potting soil, and 2 bags of peat moss and it's not turning out so well. First, I had a problem with gnats, so I used sand. Now the sand is kind of blocking out the porousness of the mixture...

    lights are lights

You shouldn't give up so easily. The fact that the panels are so cheap could prove your theory is correct. I imagine LED's have a very narrow spectrum, and so it's possible that grow specific LEDs are designed to best provide the spectrum plants need to grow. What if it were possible to do...

    lights are lights

I was laughing so hard when I first read this thread. But then I really got to thinking about it, LEDs are the same whether they're made for growing or made for decoration. I checked amazon, and there are LED christmas lights that aren't just colored, but the actual LED itself (could only find...
