More info about your setup (the type of light you use, what medium you're growing in, training techniques employed, temp and humidity of the grow space, you're feed regimen to this point etc etc) and some pics of the plant in question would go a long way towards helping us answer your questions.
Uhhhhhhhhhh.... that's not even the same kind of product as Hydrogaurd... the link you posted is to a fungicide. Hydrogaurd is beneficial bacteria intended to keep roots healthy by preventing the build-up of harmful bacteria and assist in the uptake of nutrients. Not even remotely similar...
Never harvest based on any specific time table. There are too many variables. If you have your environment completely dialed in and you are growing a strain you are familiar with you can get a decent guess on how long, otherwise it is unlikely that you'll harvest at the optimal time if you go...
I don't know if this is true for all pens, but my hanna has a big fat, bold print warning about not using distilled water as a storage solution in the manual.
It will actually be more effective at moving air without a carbon filter. Also, you may be underestimating the smell. You have neighbors who might care?
A cold room can be a good asset for a hot grow tent, but you need to have as much air exchange between the room and the tent as possible to take advantage of it. I run my indoor tents during the cold months for this very reason. I pull cool/cold air in from outside and vent the warm, filtered...
I'd need to know more about the LED you bought before i can say much about heat management. Can you post the make and model or a link to it? I can almost guarantee you it's not 600 actual watts from the wall.
A 400 watt hps is going to turn a 2x2x4 into an oven without good ventilation and as stated before, you'll have almost no vertical space for the plant once you factor in the height of the container the plant is in and the distance you must maintain between the top of the plants and the light...
Also depends on what medium you're growing in. Hydro tends to yeild more than soil if all else is equal. I pulled 7 ish ounces of tops and another 2 or 3 ounces of popcorn buds off of 1 plant in rDWC under 350 actual watts of blurple with a 5 week veg.
Edit* just read the OP again and saw...
I'm seriously thinking about seeing if anyone wants to get this going. Just wondering what section to post about it in.. stealth/micro? General growing? Indoor? Also would have to figure out some genetics that everyone involved could get their hands on.. suggestions anyone?
You're welcome. And you're right, the difference doesn't appear to be very large in most real world application. I did find myself having to provide more calmag when i was growing under my Solar Storm 440 blurple, but not drastically more. The bump was probably 6 to 8 percent.
"his experiment has provided additional
evidence that equal PPF does not necessarily
result in equivalent amount of mineral uptake.
Spectral quality may exert an influence on
mineral nutrition through related physiolog-
ical processes such as stomatal control, trans-
piration and carbohydrate...
