Ok got my blue lab ph and ppm pen today. I measured my tap water and the RO water I normally use for comparison.
RO Water PH 6.9
PPM 0
Tap Water PH 8.5
PPM 0
Is the tap water ok for hydro?
Im going into some beginner hydro and dont want to pay for the RO water. How do I go about testing my tap water to see if it will be suitable for hydro. I know it is local municipal water, not well. Should I let it sit open to dechlorinate? If so how long?
I have some a couple tomato plants. In whatever soil they came in. I water them when there are dry, with RO water and a little calmag. They seem to burn badly when I add 1/4 strength organic nutrients....or maybe its the cal mag? My Mesical plants love these same nutrients at 3/4 strength...
I have 4 individual led lights. I keep the 350 watt lights at 24" and the 150 watt lights at 18" over tops. Passive intake is enough, be sure to add a nice oscilating fan to increase circulation. Np.
My tent is 2 X 2.5 X 7 very similar. I use a 4" 170 cfm growbright fan, connected to a phresh filter. I use 800 watt LED. I also use a fan speed control to quiet the fan down.
I have a closet that I grow in. I need to exhaust my air outside. One of the closet wall is an outside wall. For stealth reasons I was thinking of trying to drill a hole though drywall, and the wooden siding behind that. Maybe put something on the other side to make it look like a dryer vent...
Ok I have decided on seni grow ph perfect. So explain to me how to setup resevoir. Do I start at 1/4 strength day one with a small seedling? How do I PH when using this nutrient?
I am going to do dwc 5 gallon bucket. Not sure if I should use RO water or from tap and just let it sit a few days to de chlorinate? Do you ph the water before or after adding nutrients? What is the ideal ph range for hydro? What do I do as daily maintanence? Do I just add water as it evaporates...
I have no hydro experience. I Ordered a 6 site stealth hydro bubbleponics kit. I failed to grow anything. I had a cheap ph pen, and ppm meter also. The powdered nutrients just wouldnt dissolve, and left the water all murky. So I tossed all that stuff, and have switched to soil and done well. Now...
My first LED was a 90 watt UFO. Worked well but too bog, clunky and heavy. So I bought the Kessil H350 to replace. Someone here suggested that Kessil and I had thought it was nice but pricey! Well it performs better and takes up far less space will still giving better coverage. Advanced isnt...
Kessil hate is kinda like Advanced Nutrients hate lol. I do two 5 gallon plants, each under a H350. They produce plenty of high quality meds that are very sticky and dense! I dont know what else you expect? I can use a red H150 and get the same if not better performance than adding a cobb.
Back when I was a noob I purchased the same system for a first grow. Hydro wasnt the best choice for an inexperienced grower. I had cheap ph testing tools, and the powdered nutrients were crap that came with the kit. Everything went wrong pretty fast. I sold that kit and switched to soil. My...
I'm not looking for a pound. I'd be using a 1000 watt HPS if that was the case. I like using 400 watts of actual energy to produce close to 1000 watt HID. Just wondering if I should keep the spectrum more balanced and purply, or more red heavy like a HPS. Are there any advantages to a more...
My tent is 2 X 2.5 X 7ft tall. Intake is passive with a 170 cfm 4" fan filter combo. I have Kessil LED's that draw 90W and put out maybe 250 watts. My setup is maybe equivalent to a 500 watt HID. Thinking of adding to more lights to bump it too 1000 watt equivalent.
