    maui wowie harvest time

If I remember correctly...Maui Wowie is a strong sativa sided plant...look for up to 12 weeks flowering time when growing a sativa dominent plant, most finish in about 9 weeks...but i have seen some take the full 12 weeks. Just do a search on when to harvest...and i'm sure you'll find...

    maui wowie harvest time

Actually there is a better way to tell...once the hairs are turning colours, and they start to receed back into the bud...will the plant be ready. The trich method is ok to use...but sometimes it's not the best way...alot of people i know use the method i mentioned.

    mother plants keep dieing

Are you taking more then half the plant for clones?...if so that's probably the problem...plant just can't handle that much stress so it will just give up and die.

My first Ever Grow (WHite Widow) Some minor problems

Your leaves cyrling up like that usually means it's lacking (P)hosphorus, give a small dose of your veg nutes and the problem should clear up.

    clones? first tyme. any advice?

Pretty hard to get a clone to root when it's been taken off of a flowering plant. It can be done...but generally speaking it doesn't work too often.

    good starter strains

True white widow is a shorter plant, and if you go with a S.o.g setup it will be easy to keep them short and bushy. It's not a huge producer, but the smoke is pretty potent, fairly easy to grow, at least in my opinion.

    upping the light for clones..

You are right...clones dont need intense light, i didn't realize they were only 4 days in. Keep what you have at the moment, should be plenty for now. It is normal for clones to kinda go limp the first few days, once the roots start growing, they'll start standing straight again. Give them a...

    upping the light for clones..

Get them all in there and lower the lights to about 6". The more cfl's you have the better. Best way i find is to have a few fluorscent workshop lights for the first few weeks...after that i will start putting them under the HPS when i have it on for my flowering plants.

    bloom lights

Autoflowering strains do not require you to switch the lights...i'd go with an HPS from start to finish.

    Nutrient Question?

In veg you want high (N), low (P), and a neutral (K). In blooming stage you want low (N), high (P) & (K).

    White Widow

As long as you keep them warm and moist...they'll do just fine without light...they don't need light untill the break ground.

250w HPS bulb on 400w HPS ballast???

I'd NEVER use the un-reccomended bulb. I've seen first hand what CAN happen...say bye bye to your entire crop. If the bulb doesn't blow up...it won't last as long, and it's RAELLY hard on the ballast itself. Those of you that say you can do it?...you obviously know nothing about...

    Help - Seedlings

Ok to answer your question properly...you can put the seedlings under light as soon as they "break" ground. It's the big HPS and MH bulbs you don't wanna use right away...cause they will usually cook em that young!
