I really hate to recommend a particular make but this one will trump anything in it's price range. A comparable exact brand-name goes for $799 and u can get it for bout little over $200. It will have a par of of 1716umoles@12", 885umoles@24", and 447umoles@36". respectfully. 2 of these would...

This is my reward for putting up with all the unprovoked, abusive attacks. To see that people are better informed to keep this industry in check because they're sure in the hell ain't gonna do it for us. Good luck and love to have u join the led world in the future.

Some great advice and obvious that you've done some homework on this. It's a huge playing field and there are many vendors more than willing to take your money and run, caveat emptor (buyer beware). That said, there are some respectable lights out there for the money and as Edge said, we are...

Wouldn't be rape because it was not forced. It wouldn't be shoplifting cause u didn't unlawfully remove it from any private location. Hummm. It's only a misdemeanor like not paying for a movie-rental back in the old days since u rented, used it, but refuse to pay. lol.

Thanks. It's one of my veg. test with 16 different strains under red and my white test spec.. Yes, the switches are more of a marketing pitch rather than an actual useful option and also goes against the kiss principle. Besides, I don't see the point in reducing the wattage in vegging since...

I even mention my name in a recent post for and explain exactly how to verify if one thinks I'm full of bs. Like ER said, I can also document most of my claims. The truth's, the truth. Convenient or not. THe observations are a different story.

I also hate and have no patience for bs as those who know me, I like documentation since I question everything including myself. This is why I've always stated my posts are actual hands-on experience to inform potential new buyers in spirit of the thread's name. I also stated as with any...

Put the same 'wattage' of badly developed spectrum emitters over one plant v quality emitters over another. Do you really think they are the same? No, of course not, but if you're talking about the performance difference between say Cree and Epstar, it's not proportionate to the price...

I agree, but how are u going to get the par without the wattage? If u notice on my posts, I like to go all the way to 3ft. The spectrum is a given because without it the growth would be whacked. Umoles is everything but how are u going to deliver it? I've always had my doubts bout the cob...

Thanks E7, I couldn't have said it better myself as this is precisely why I'm often misunderstood and labeled as a promoter of cheap factory directs. Reality is that not everyone's made of money and is in this for business. I can easily recommend high-quality/price makes and make myself look...

No, I apologize for the confusion as I didn't go back to reference the specs. so I simply divided the total rated wattage into the actual draw wattage to reference the actual in relationship to the rated wattage. 16w total divided by 11wactual = .689

I know, but 28.8w/sqft. is pushing it for a light with no secondary lens. The reflectors machining quality do look impressive in spirit of all hans & grans products, but it's not going to make up for the lack of secondary lens by a long shot. This is more like a 12" x 12" with plants no...

Regarding the Hans for the last time. Yours will have a much better par reading for obvious reason that I won't state since no other 5watters on the market I'm aware of that has got the right design as yours. It's quite obvious so I don't understand why the others don't get it except lack of...

These 2 paragraphs alone shows that you guys are a class act. I sincerely commend u as it takes a lot of confidence to make these statements. Bravo, chalk one up for A51. For the record, I like Chinese LED panels, some of them. It is a great alternative for a budget minded fellow to use LED...

Forgot to asked u if you're in the business since u visited these factories and own a spectroradiometer. Like u I've visited CT, E-shine, and Bysen, Topline, and Cidly. Yes, I agree as with anything, one must approach with extreme caution, but I feel they have came a long ways in terms of...

Illumitex's pretty much the king and only cob type that actually works. THey're basically 16 1w chips running at .69% efficiency pullin 11w actual. Not cheap for sure since you would need 6 of their dual-bars for a 4x4 per the Rocky Mt. High set-up. At 24 chips per side x 6 = 144 total from...

I salute you, sir. You've been around. I used to spend a lot of time in "crazy town" Shenzhen running my building construction and granite company. Next time u go there try Queen's Spa/Resort, awesome. I got suspicious on the A51's being us made cause they posted on their website last...

Some people are more comfortable paying for the wattage draw of a panel regardless of output. Some people, typically the type that shop at A51, Cali and Apache care more about the output total of the lamp. I totally understand and respect this thinking along with their direction towards the...
