max yeild off a 5 gallon bucket

Do you move them around a lot? The OP I believe was talking about portability. I got ones outside right now that would chew like stale chips. Perhaps another factor is cold. Our temp range is about -5 to 100. All I know id mine break up. Just adding that warning. Grow bags though are the way to...

max yeild off a 5 gallon bucket

I'm not saying the totes wont work just that they do become brittle and crack like potato chips over time. In a very sunny environment that wouldn't be too long. The grow bags mentioned are the cheapest containers money can buy. Their only problem is falling over but if you can support them then...

    Its raining....

If 3-5 days of rain(not to be confused with showers) was predicted this late in the game I'd be making a mini greenhouse with adequate ventilation. With something like tomatoes any thing over 3 days of rain will bring on the blight. I have to imagine some kind of a fungus would attach itself to...

looking for something bigger then 5 gallon bucket

Rubber maid totes are not UV resistant. It would really such if it cracked in half and spilled your plant all over when you tried to move it. Don't you have a Home Depot or Lowes? They have plenty of planters available.

max yeild off a 5 gallon bucket

Note on Rubber maid totes they're non uv resistant, will become brittle and crack up. You can get a decent container at Lowes or Homedepot. Why skimp on where your plant is going to live? Do you want to have it living in the ghetto or a penthouse?

max yeild off a 5 gallon bucket

The larger container the better for just about any plant. Let the roots stretch out. They don't want to be cramped in a small pail. They're subject to a whole host of problems being root bound. While you can grow them in a 5 gallon container you're much better off IMO with say a 20 gallon...

Next and last state to legalize mmj?

Didn't Joseph Smith(think that was his name)smoke? ;) 3.2% alcohol? I'm trying to cut back myself...if that's all they had I wouldn't have much problem. Old Milwaukee light? ot Tabernacle Ale?

    Will This Thing Finish?

There are 2 kinds of frosts in the fall. The 1st frost and then the killing frost. The former doesn't kill all plant life. Many plants are tolerant to light frost. However the killing frost when that comes everything dies save for the hardiest green matter. Yes the 1st frost comes around 32...

    What's Up With This?

I'd have to think the reason would be it would hurt their sales. I suppose it could be argued with so many growers that their gardens would get pollinated. Why some people might even grow large quantities outdoors just to pollinate your females.

Success!!!!! When should she come down?

Yeah the Fruit Moon or Harvest Moon is on the Autumnal Equinox..spookyyyyy...but that's next week. One of mine is about where his is and I'm thinking 3-4 weeks too which places it much closer to the first frost. I think that's how things happen in certain latitudes outside. The Equinox makes...

Next and last state to legalize mmj?

The medical MJ question will be on some of the ballots in Massachusetts. Masscann had the list updated from July I think. Pretty pathetic showing though. Still there is a governor's race gong on right now. It takes one of those to sign a bill into law. Massachusetts legislature has a few options...

New Study: Pot Appears To Relieve Pain !

Not when everyone is on happy pills and other processed medications. The pharmaceutical companies make large donations just like other big industry. Once elected the elected pays them back with tax breaks. In the US 99% of Congress & Senate are bought and sold for.

Really amazed at how resilient Marijuana plants are

I'm not noticing any serious predator attacks. I've seen some white flies and some other insects but I just flick them off on another thing and they eat that instead. I looked around for a Praying Mantis but couldn't find one to leave on my plants. Nothing eats like one of those. They're...

Really amazed at how resilient Marijuana plants are

I'm near the end of my 1st grow. I have 5 plants in less than ideal conditions. By that I'm mostly referring to the trauma they experienced due to security issues. I'm talking about being transplanted 3 or 4 times, being tossed in a box for like a week or more, severe drought and less than ideal...

    covering flowering plants at night?

I don't have much experience covering plants at night but where I live fall is coming and with sunny warm days and contrastingly cool nights covering plants could lead to a fungus if the plants don't get proper airflow. In the morning my sneakers are pretty much soaked just walking across the...

New Study: Pot Appears To Relieve Pain !

For some people it doesn't. I'd describe Marijuana as more of a muscle relaxer but as the muscles relax the pain subsides. I'm not sure what it would do if one has serious pain but for regular pain of varying degrees it is excellent and wont kill your liver like the "one doctors prescribe the...

Where Is Mass. At This Point For Med.?

Not looking very good. Pretty pathetic push when this state has a history, recent history of listening to the will of the people. There doesn't seem to be any will. I think the problem is people are sick of politics. So they don't want to vote for the lesser of two evils and totally forget about...
