    Deficient seedlings?

You have mites. Kill those fuckers quick. I foliar w/ neem to get rid of mites. Then rinse with tap water when dry. Then dust with diatomaceous earth when that's dry. I do it 2x a week. Takes 3+ applications when real bad. You can also blast it with the hose if it's an outdo plant. I'd...

    Optimum Leaf Temp vs. VPD

Leaf temperature directly affects photosynthesis. VPD (in which leaf temp, air temp and rh are factors) directly affects transpiration. Transpiration directly affects photosynthesis.

    Thoughts on 2x covert LED-x 250's for a 4x8 grow tent

LEDs should be used at 35W-40W per square foot (on average). You want close to 1200 ACTUAL watts to fill that room. (4x8 = 32 square feet. 32 * 35 = 1120). That light is only 520 actual watts.

Seedlings are struggling cant figure it out... Help!!

If grown in a medium with some nutes, seedlings don't need feedings until 2 weeks in. If grown in medium with no nutes (pure coir, rockwool, hydroton, etc) you need nutes right away. I've heard the same thing as MickFoster (though I've never used MG).

Humidity in flower. How worried should I be?

Add some circulation fans. 60% is okay if you keep a lot of air moving. Good luck.

Help first time grower indoors in california

You can save some $ by making panda film tents. CFLs work great for mothers/clones and are cheap and plentiful. You can sog 12 plants in a 4x4 and keep 2-3 mothers and clones in a 2x4. You will need exhaust fans for each tent...

    Need some opinions

Based on the tips pointing down and the dark green color... N toxicity. Back off the N and/or increase transpiration and light.

    Coco coir

I don't know about the prepared coco as I like more control... I usually prepare coco from bricks by expanding and rinsing it through a 1/8" screen with tap water to get the majority of dust and small particles out, then I soak in a trashcan with a lot of tap water and a heavy dose of calmag and...

    Cleaning up the bottom

If the leaves aren't receiving light, are touching the medium, are blocking too much air flow, are too dense and many are touching each other or are 50%+ damaged I would trim them. Otherwise, leave them alone.

    Yellow crisp leaves?

I don't ph my water. I haven't found a need to do so with soil/soilless. And yes, coco needs nutes… even seedlings. I would water with some compost/ewc tea with fish emulsions added at the end. Start off at 1tsp/gal of emulsions and see how they respond.

    Yellow crisp leaves?

I tried 3 seeds before in equal part coco/perlite/ewc… watering with recharge and emulsions and they ended up looking similar to yours. After 3 weeks of slow, weak growth, I planted a new and it's surpassed the others by leaps and bounds. This time I used a slightly lower EWC ratio and added...

Ability to raise and lower lights via smartphone?

Dc motors, controller, a pi for a head and multiple distance sensors off the top of my head. And yes, backup chains would be a requirement. Sound like fun.

    Automation!

My last recirculating hydro grow was all automated with arduinos and sensors and pumps and a pi lamp server. It was cool. I could control and track from anywhere. It used npt for timers. Set programs and schedules, etc. Log all data and graph it. Worked great. Reliable. Had great results. Using...

    unhappy yellowing and curling leaves.

Looks like magnesium deficiency to me. I'm going through the same thing right now. I would foliar with Epsom once or twice a week and lay off the calmag. I don't see any ca deficiency symptoms... in fact too much calcium will lock out mg...
