I don't think that you have to worry about your plants not getting enough light on one cloudy day. There is still plenty of light out there, and your plants will be fine. No plants are harmed by a cloudy day or two.

My guess is that if you don't have any serious ailment that required medical cannabis, I wouldn't worry about getting the card. Too many Dr's, giving out possibly unnecessary cards could be a problem for some. If your only reason for getting it is to do something that is illegal and you don't...

Sorry to hear about it. If I were in your shoes, I would wait a little bit if possible to grow, if the first ones were on your property. If not, feel free to grow away, somewhere new though, and make sure not to tell anyone about them.
