What is your favorite strain at the moment (growing & smoking)?

Just chopped down sugar candy from delicious seeds, definitely taste like sugar, has that indica calming effect but not couch lock, overall I like it, would grow again. Short flowering time 50-55 day's was ready before that even but I like amber trichomes.

    GG#4: Tips on Controlling Stretch

I'm starting to think that too from growers pov, lot's of thin weak side branches and it's the same story with one of it's crosses... This strain won't stay.

    Recommend strains for nighttime use

Like previous poster said, indica's. Og kush, Critical kush, Hindu Kush, La Confidential. Anything from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal will help with sleep. Ingesting cannabis is also a good idea for sleep disorders.

VPD and why do I care

@Southernontariogrower Humidity is not exactly "bad" unless the air is not moving imo. Have you tried adding a filter to your intake ? Try adding a hepa filter or something similar. My guess is you're sucking in mold spores in large quantities if your getting mold problems with the extraction...

Thanks for the input bro, I did actually order Maxi bloom last night to get me through this crop but I'm looking to switch over to something like Jack's so I can scale up as needed :blsmoke: I used to use Floranova with excellent results. Lol, had some advanced noobients laying around plants...

    VPD

Imo yes, humidity is important for plant development. Just keep an eye on it, if the unit starts getting hot, discard it.

    cal mag amount

His tab water could also contain low amounts of calcium and magnesium, my home country is like that, clean good water but low in those two minerals.

    cal mag amount

Ro water, coco, led grow here, if I feed my plants 0.3 ec calmag they start showing deficiencies, it has to be 0.4 ec of calmag in the Ro water or my plants are not happy at all. Symptoms, red stems, yellowing leaves between veins, brown spots etc. P.s. go with e.c./ppm to measure how much is...

    VPD

If you're in the States you have options, generally speaking a centrifugal or ultra sonic is going to consume low power, maintain the humidity at correct levels and probably not burn your house down. Those greenhouse grade ones are definitely overkill for smaller/mid sized tents but it's always...

    VPD

Good humidifier and dehumidifier is a very good investment along with a heater/cooler and control of those devices. Inkbird controller's work fine if budget is tight. Forget about those home/office humidifiers, they can't keep up with air extraction, the reservoir are to small and they can be a...

    VPD

For small plants like that yes the vpd is too high, pun intended :eyesmoke: vpdchart.com I like to use this chart as it tells you where in the grow cycle you want your vpd, probably all of them do I just find this one easy to read. A infrared thermometer is a good addition to your vpd arsenal.
