Don't do that. Do you have pics of what you are seeing? Also, what sort of water are you using? RO or Tap, and if tap, look up a water quality report that has stuff like PH, Alkalinity, total hardness, etc...also, see if it has the calcium and magnesium levels on it too. If you are on city water, this report is available someplace online. Always start with the water first, then look at media/nutrients.
