I think I screwed up with lighting.

So would you recommend raising the lights? I’ve dialed the the wattage from 1000 to 600 watts on my HPS and my LED to 25%. I’m not trying to get more mass at this point, just trying to get them to ripen.

I think I screwed up with lighting.

They aren’t any light leaks, so I did dial the lights down about 30%. Hope so can stop the rails from going any further. Thanks for the feedback!

    HVAC splits?

Not sure if Ideal Air is still doing DIY units, but they used to sell units that have a braided flex line from the outdoor unit to the head and a simple shrader valve that you teflon tape and screw on. They had multi-head units specifically for grow rooms and they ran on 110v. A nice DIY Unit...

    Humidity probs/ set up

Carbon filters remove odor from the air. If you are recirculating your wet/humid air back into your tent through a vent hole, then that will account for you high humidity issues. You need to remove the moisture from the grow space completely when you vent (that's why people are saying to vent...

Spider Farmer vs Mars Hydro LEDs?

Watts isn't necessarily the key measurement for lights. I personally would go with the light that has a higher output of micromoles (µmols) per second, the best light distribution, and is dimmable. Micromoles is the measurement of photons per meter per second. Here's a link that should help...

I think I screwed up with lighting.

Thank you for the advice, I appreciate you taking time to respond. Trichs are clear still, so you’re right pati nice is a virtue. Ha! I’m just hoping they ripen up before foxtails take over the tops of my colas.

I think I screwed up with lighting.

I’m in Week 8 now and some of my plants are throwing white pistils on top. If I’m not mistaken, I think I may have some foxtails popping up on top too. I had them under a 1000 watt DE HPS turned up to 825 watts at 30” away from canopy. I’m also supplementing my light with a Mars Hydro TSW2000...

New Nutrient Feed App for Growing - In Development

So do you think new growers (First through 4th grow) are starting off in Hydro? Or is it more likely they'll be doing DTW? Also, if soil and dry nutrients are common, we're also willing to look at a build for that too.

What are some of the common nutrients, mediums, and pots new growers are using?

New Nutrient Feed App for Growing - In Development

You're on it. On your sheets you have changed some of the measurements with a pen and augmented some of the recommendations from the MFG. The app would let you make those adjustments as you go, track all of the adjustments, and log the progress of your grow so you could then start to compare...

New Nutrient Feed App for Growing - In Development

Excellent! THis is essentially what we're proposing. Growers set up their initial grow profile, select their nutrient line, and how they would like to see their units of measurement ML/L, TSP/GAL, or ML./GAL for example. Seems like there's different feed units based on the nutrient...

New Nutrient Feed App for Growing - In Development

We're initially looking to start out at square one. This means helping new growers to put seeds in either soil or coco and feeding those seeds with the proper water-based nutrients to produce some buds. That's about it. We're not trying to get fancy just yet. We want to help folks rubbing two...

New Nutrient Feed App for Growing - In Development

A friend of mine and I are building an app that simplifies nutrient dosing, feed schedules, and allows you to build a grow journal all from your phone for the most popular nutrient lines. You enter a few criteria and you have your feeding/watering schedule done for your entire grow. It will be...

Week 7 - Will an extra week over ripen?

Okay cool. I noticed it oranging up, but I’m a relative novice on timing and not sure how fast that goes. After this grow I hope to be more informed. Much appreciated.

Week 7 - Will an extra week over ripen?

That makes sense. I’m always up for not throwing money away (if I don’t have to). Thanks for weighing in.

Week 7 - Will an extra week over ripen?

Sounds Iike an impressive resume and thank you for taking the time to respond. So to one point, you’re saying that there is no nutritional benefit of flushing or detriment for feeding close to harvest, but that you don’t feed to the end because it saves on nutrient costs. Got it. Thanks again.

Week 7 - Will an extra week over ripen?

Like I said before, this is my second grow and I’m certainly trying to learn to do a proper dry and cure. That’s why I’m here asking experienced members their opinions when I find conflicting information. The challenge is, almost all information I find is conflicting because everyone has...
