I have a 400watt MH pulse start ballast with a 400watt HPS conversion bulb. The bulb works for about 5 hours before shutting off. I replaced it with my MH grow bulb for now. I ordered a 600 watt HPS to replace the 400 watt. I figured the area (4 x 3.5 x 9 tall) needed more light anyway...

I have a Milwaukee tds meter. Does this meter need to soak in "Buffer Solution"? Or can it dry out? I have a cheap PH meter. It says to "keep tip wet with potassium chloride" Can I leave this soaking in "Buffer Solution"? The reason for this is I had a PH meter go bad. (Milwaukee)...

I have some plants about 6 weeks old. I want to clone them before flowering. None of the "branches" have more than one set of leaves. From what I have read you must clone a "branch" with multiple sets of leaves. I should wait for "branches" or can I clone a single fan leave? I include...

I am going to take some cuttings and would like to leave them in the VEG room. The lights run 18/6. Will this be o.k.? Also, at what height should a person begin taking cuttings? Thanks, Milt

Well it looks like I will be the one to find out.

I just added a heater (little milkhouse style) and now the humidity is around 40%. Should I ditch the infra red fan milkhouse and go with a oil filled radiator style? Or add a humidifier? What if I do nothing? My "tomatoes" are looking o.k. Milty

Did you notice the small "Day, Night, Both" switch? It must be set to "Both". It has a nifty photo sensor. Could be the reason it costs so much! I'm sure you saw it. But it is SMALL I noticed it is very sensitive to vibration also. Just catching up on this great thread! Milton

I will paint the unit with a rubberized paint. Flat white. I've used it on everything so far. I am worried about heat transfer with the black. It is the bucks saved and "give the money to the little guy" part that I like. Can't beat the price. Milty
