no matter which strain, medium, lights, nutrients etc I use, the roots are always shit and the plants don't very tall. my last grow, I got about 60g of 7 plants (critical 2.0, critical cheese, special kush #1) Can any help?

I have 3 strains on the go and they got mixed up. Can any tell me how to tell the difference? They are only about 2 weeks into veg and i only want to continue 1 of them. They are Critical Cheese Critical 2.0 Special Kush #1

I heard somewhere that its best to let the medium fully dry out before watering but I thought the roots would dry up and die. what do you's think?

I have 3 strains that cracked open 8 days ago and are growing really slowly. Is there any reason why this is? They are In 50/50 mix of coco and compost with perlite and the temp is around 77F under 600w HPS
