I think it's a good idea. CMH are not the best penetrating lights. I have a 6 bulb T5 for side lighting. I would use them the same as side lighting.

I go from solo to 1 gal to 5 gal fabric. I have no choice but to transplant at flip because I don't have room for 5s in my veg room. Been doing it forever without any problems at all. There obviously two separate rooms and perpetual.
