    AC Voltage Regulator

A variac is the best exhaust fan speed controller because it just lowers the A.C. voltage to your fan. It does not modify the sine wave in any way. But cheaper than a variac is to wire a 20" box fan (like from Walmart, Lowes or Home Depot) in SERIES with your exhaust fan using a duplex...

Growing with rockwool. What are the tips and tricks you veterans have picked up

I grow in RW blocks a lot. The bottom block on a stack is supposed to heavier due to the "moisture gradient." When I started, I weighed the dry blocks, and then weighed them totally soaked. That way you can tell when they dry down to about half weight - then water them again. It makes the...

    The far red thread

A little aside, I'm using a GM5 puck in a 2x4 tent. I found 5 min. EOD was to much. Lots of stretch. I cut it down to 1 min. And got a faster finish and minimal added stretch. Doesn't take much to tell the girls good night!

Nice deep green. No tip burn. Leaves look good. I second Moflow's recommendation to go for 40,000 LUX in flower. *Just my opinion!

COB GROW how many lumens I go for flower

Interesting aside...I bought an Apogee PAR meter and the readings are about 20% hotter than my lux meter readings. I was wondering how I was getting such good results at around 600 umols. Turns out it was a really around 720ish umols really. So as you said, 40K lux is very productive and is...

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

If grams per watt is the criteria, I don't think the horticultural cobs are going to be anywhere near TWICE as productive as your basic 3000K/80CRI cob. What do you think?

A hundred panels? Sounds like you're making some friends! Are you using a heatsink from Heatsink USA? If so, please include type and size. A picture of the fin side would be nice. Seems panels and strips are the rage, and I have some, but I started with and still use Vero 29s version 6 in...
