Cfl for veg, but upgrade for flowering. Try not to cheap out on flowering lights, and dont cheap out on reflection. I agree just get some mylar. Sure its not cheap always but so easy to clean and it seems to last forever if taken care of.

Youre looking at two different light spectrums NEEDED for both stages. At most you can set baby plants or clones in a corner somewhere of the flowering light but i would trick your plants like that. Why not just grow one at a time and go all out with what space you have? Theres huge...

Cfl bulbs put off enough light but as you know, need to be very close. Thinner stalks are on taller plants. With cfl bulbs putting off enough light, but so close the stalks grow fatter instead of taller. Makes for really good strong branches to hold big buds. Ive been on this current techniques...

Its nice to see someone else taking advantage of those cheap little househould 23w cfl bulbs. I only use 10 23w cfls, though. 1625 lumans each, but added reflection with mylar very close wrapping arond. Only for veg. Once im ready to flower its a 400w HPS. 7 weeks tomorrow on this gem....

The enthusiasm is nice but theres a lot of steps up that can be made all the time. For example i grow in a small space JUST to take advantage of it. Imagine 10 cfl bulbs burning in a small reflective closet for your veg state.... They have to stay close to your plant. 3 to 4 inches away...
