Can I take cuttings/clones after switching to 12/12?

No, the rooting and vegging are independent processes - at least for the purposes of this discussion. They may root more slowly if they were already in bloom, but they'll start revegging within a week or so of you bumping 'em back up to 20/4. Just take them out of the tray when they're rooted...

    How do i use h202

Nah, I'm at the wrong latitude. All I can do with that damned pool is sit next to it.

    How do i use h202

Of course, if I were a sterile rez kinda guy, bleach would probably be my first choice. Because then, I would want something more stable in the long term than peroxide. And yeah, I agree - bleach is not that big a deal. I don't like the smell, or the residue that lingers, but plants do fine...

    How do i use h202

What I like about peroxide as opposed to bleach is that once it breaks down, it's gone. I'm big into bennies, and I'm overly anal about keeping anti-microbrial chemicals away from my res or my roots whenever possible. Plus, I use H2O2 all the time in household applications - laundry, bathroom...

    How do i use h202

What I do sometimes is dump the whole res, and clean it out with a strong H2O2 solution. I then put a few gallons of H202 solution in the clean tub, and set the pump to recirculating it back into itself for 15 or 20 minutes. Then I rinse the rub, flush the pump by running clean water through it...

    Highest Yielding Indoor Strains

I hate to pile on, but when I read that list my first question was, "Is there any room in the reservoir for water?" But on the topic, most of my indoor growing has not been with a focus on high yield, but on connoisseur quality weed - stuff I really like to smoke, like white widow, etc, which...

Can I take cuttings/clones after switching to 12/12?

I find that the thicker branches usually clone better, but I don't think it makes a significant difference. I always do exactly the same thing - use lower branches. In some ways, that may even be better, because the leaves are smaller. I clip larger leaves anyway, but still.

Can I take cuttings/clones after switching to 12/12?

There is no line. It just gradually gets harder and harder to do as you get later into flower. Week 1 - easy. Week 12 - really difficult. You don't really have a "last chance." Theoretically, you could clone a branch from a plant that you're harvesting. It'd just be really difficult. Anything...

Strains that grow well with only 4-5 hours of light

Ah, ok. Now I get it. Sorry. I was trying to figure out what latitude never saw more than 4 or 5 hours of light, and couldn't come up with anything. I'm sorry, I couldn't give you a good answer. I think a lot of strains would still grow, because their metabolism is keyed off of available light...

Strains that grow well with only 4-5 hours of light

I'm confused. There's no place on the planet that never gets more than 4 or 5 hours of daylight in the summer. Unless you're talking about growing in the winter, in which case anyplace that far north would be too cold.

    Advice for cloning.

Oh, you do that too? That's a trick I've been using for years. Whenever I'm growing from seed, I almost always leave a few of the sucker shoots at the bottom on the plant in case it turns out to be a killer pheno and I want to reveg (or even clone, if it declares itself early enough to get...

Mastering Strains & Finding Best Pheno's

That's one of the things I like about coco - it makes it a lot easier to run multiple strains, with different characteristics and different finishing times. It's such an adaptible, versatile, and forgiving medium.

Mastering Strains & Finding Best Pheno's

I'm with you on the "flavor of the month" thing. I tend to get a little tired of all the new strains; a lot of them seem popular just because they're a fad, not because they're better quality. There are a few old-school strains that are still as kick ass as they were 10 or 15 years ago, and I...

Natural flavouring and mollases during flush for flavour

What are you talking about? Didn't you take science classes? Mountain Dew has water in it, and water is as natural as you can get! Plus it has some sort of greenish-yellow stuff, too, and that's the color of plants, so that might be natural too.

You probably don't need much, though. I use it sparingly and rarely. But there will probably be times when you do need it - just watch your plants. They'll tell you.

    Advice for cloning.

When I'm cutting something that late into bloom, I always take a few extras. I just took some cuts off a friend's outdoor plants last month, and they were about 6 weeks in. It took 3 weeks, but out of 7 cuts, 2 survived - 1 from each plant. And I usually get right around 100% strike rate. A lot...

    Water quality reports and chlorine

Different people have different views on chlorine and chloramine, but I tend to prefer water without either. I brew a lot of teas. I know, on a logical level, that the amount of chlorine in city water is almost certainly not going to affect my microherd, but I usually bubble it out anyway. 24...

Can I take cuttings/clones after switching to 12/12?

A week or two really is not that big of a deal. Just takes longer for the cuttings to root and reveg, that's all. The farther into bloom you go, the longer it takes to turn them around, and it's not a bad idea to take extras in case some don't make it. A friend of mine had some outdoor plants...

How much Should I charge for Weed?

I never sell pounds in the fall or early winter. Everybody and his brother grows a few plants outside, and there are pounds of shitweed falling out of the sky for 1000 or less. I just let the glut run out, and then around Christmas or early January, make a few calls. I'll have an indoor crop...
