My tap is 7.9 and hovers around 215ppms for TDS values...I PREFER my tap over using my RO system....The 215 contains a lot of Calcium with my city water (good residual).....Your starting pH is not a big concern as compared to what your water CONTAINS....MANY South Cal growers have to deal with...

Its funny that I just looked up the ORIGINAL calcium levels in their standard dynagro, AND IT TOO now has 2% calcium....There has been a lot of debate lately about how important calcium really is and most likely why many are pushing higher levels....IDK, a chemist I am not...this September does...

Check this out then....A list of best outdoor strains and it's suggests the optimal outdoor climate they enjoy the best....narrow down which strains fit your needs and then get input on them...Its NOT from a seed producer who would of course suggest their own strains...LOL...

There are MANY good strains...The big part is getting lucky enuf to find that exceptional phenotype....Strain for the most part are NOT extremely homogenous....you might start 5 seed and only get one thats worth a shit IF there is even one in the group...You may find a KILLER plant in a strain...

Even If I didn't use an airstone, I would still use a hydroton, river rock, expanded slate or anything similar to fill the reservoir area...I have always found the roots like to curl up in a mass right on top of the rock and drops whatever feeder roots it needs down into the rock rez.....the way...

I use a basic 1 inch barrel style....I use grow rock in the bottom of the bucket just above the 2 inch drains....stone flat on the bottom....then a 4:1 perlite to vermiculite mix......It doesnt need to be fancy..DWC need a LOT MORE attention to your airstones....the plants life depends on...
