[/LIST] [/B] From what I've seen and read, that's the idea. Equal large colas off of a hub. Really the reason I'm trying it this way - don't have a lot of room to let them get big so I want to keep them low grow large buds from a small plant.

I'm using Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and feeding Jack's Classic All Purpose fertilizer. I've used nutes on the last 3 waterings. 1st was 1/4 strength, then 1/2 strength and last one was full strength. Will probably just use straight water for next one - possibly just a 1/4 strength if any if...

I think I will leave these two fan leaves on. I'll just make sure the 2 main stems of the hub grow where I want them and let the fan leaves hang out where they are. In hindsight, I should have just left the fan leaves on the 1st node after taking the clones.

Took my clones and pruned below the 2nd hub. Figured I'd leave the fan leaves on the 2nd hub. At what point is it ok to remove those?

I don't know how important the cloning solution is - but I picked up a little bottle of 'rooting hormone' from Lowes tonight and dipped the stems in it just in case there is something to it. In the interest of science, maybe I should have done one in cloning hormone and one 'ghetto'. Could do...

Topped and began training the hub on my CH9 Vintage 2006.

The CH9 Jack and the Royal Queen Shinning Silver Haze as of this morning. Not yet ready for mainlining.

Did my first top yesterday on the CH9 Vintage 2006 and pruned off the bottom leaves. Going to take clones tonight or tomorrow. Started training the hub last night - already starting to turn upwards as of this morning.

Nice job! You'll get the next one perfect. I'm topping my first girl Sunday or Monday night. The 2nd true node is almost ready. Did you do any cloning? I'm going to try taking clones off the 1st node - don't really have room to raise clones but want to try it anyway.
