I did 100% clay balls with great success (gave up on perlite). I like to do flushes with ph'ed straight up water then reset with a nutrient feeding. It cleans out the reservoir.

I did a Hempy over a recirculating res (DWCish) for a veg mom once. It benefited with the extra DO (pump on 15 min every hour). But straight up micro grow Hempy is all I need with no pumps, and external res needed.

One time on an early grow I dropped a whole ghetto fabulous cfl array on my plant. Snapped the base 2 inches up in early flower. I splinted it up. It grew a fat knuckle, and no longer needed the splint. Lol!
