    315 cmh vs led

I've noticed no difference between the 315s and these LED I'm using now in terms of trichome production. Maybe in the early stages of using them people are struggling to get their plants as healthy as they were under HID bulbs and as a result it's turning out inferior looking bud. Far as I can...

Have a look at this and see how it compares with the Geekbeast and Hortibloom

Don't know how I missed all the posts in this thread... I take on board everything said about UV, and I'm sure that in purely biological terms there's relevance to it. But we've got to look at the physical aspect of the construction of the light and then assess what that UV diode is doing...

    315 cmh vs led

But what does it do, and how does that translate into your grow?

    315 cmh vs led

The problem with your argument is it's too much to do with logic, numbers, and what most growers would regard as basic common sense. People pin their mast to a flag and it doesn't really have to do anymore with the logic of it. From our perspective, having made the switch, there's no looking...

    315 cmh vs led

But you were just previously talking about saving money on bulbs vs LED fixtures. Now you'd rather have the 3 ounces of weed. If you're measuring this on the monetary value of the ounces of weed, then why is the initial cost of the more efficient LED even an issue in the first place? The main...

    HPS?

    315 cmh vs led

The point I was making was that LED is advancing and CMH/HPS is not. The strip build I have is worth more in terms of productivity than my CMH and it will be in another 3 years. If we're basing this on someone in it for the short term then they might as well get a 400w HPS and a parabolic hood...

HortiBloom 650W Mega Plus ? Any review ?

Thanks again I might be putting an order in soon. On the website it says a combination of Sanan and 660nm. Is there any 730nm on there?

Do you think adding in the 40 x 385nm is worth taking away 160 of the 301h and 20 of the 660? What's the consensus on the UV thing? Is it really making a difference?

    It says on the variation list 2560 lm301h in a range of colours from 2700K and up. Or 2080 + 120 x 660nm, 60 x 730nm Or 1920 +120 x 660nm, 40x 730nm, 40 x 385nm

    315 cmh vs led

With all due respect I just disregard all the cost of bulbs and bollocks because we're growing weed and if my LED fixture gives me 1.5 GPW of cannabis and my CMH gives me 1 or less then it's pissed that bulb cost in one grow. And If the LED junkies get caught up in changing their lights every...

    315 cmh vs led

Why not Alibaba? You said you'd like to know where, but then ruled it out, and is cost even a factor for the OP. I can't see where he mentions it in the original post. This isn't a comparison of the two technologies, it's a question - as far as I can see - about which is the better more...

Have a look at this and see how it compares with the Geekbeast and Hortibloom

Hey, need some help deciding on what light to get next. I've already got the geekbeast and I've been contemplating the Hortibloom with Sanan chips. Then I saw this the other day and am thinking of asking them to swap out the 960w driver for a 480/600w. I really only need 480w for the space...

HortiBloom 650W Mega Plus ? Any review ?

So how do I order with Sanan LEDs? What's the efficiency of the Inventronics driver vs the Meanwell? You say it's better for commercial applications, why is that and what about the efficiency for non commercial smaller scale grows. Would the Meanwell be better for this? Thanks

Single vs Dual Spectrum for Flower

All due respect, forget that. You turn the lights off for diagnosis. Go with the flowering spectrum. It's something I've now got a solid opinion on. I've built two lots of fixtures; one with just 3000K and and another with a 50/50 mix of 3000 and 4000K. The 3000K is markedly better for...

    315 cmh vs led

It's not apples vs oranges, It's just a standard priced LED fixture vs a standard CMH. Why use a shit LED as the benchmark just because it's the same price? I think the OP already knows the price of an LED is going to be a bit more than another CMH bulb, but it doesn't have to be a massive...

    315 cmh vs led

I'd never even think for a second about switching back to my 315 cmh from the 320w bridgelux strip build I knocked up. There's no comparison between the two fixtures, the LED whoops it's ass all round the garden I used to like my CMH too

First grow ever 22 LEDs drip feed build and journal

Unless the building's in the middle of a field or a load of vegetation, most likely way they get in in the first place is on you. If there's any webbing on any plants you brush past, you've got mites on you. If you go into your room without a change of clothes and a spray down, they're in...

First grow ever 22 LEDs drip feed build and journal

Iso definitely isn't an option in flower, by then it's too late and the best you can aim for is damage control. I think I already said that in my original post, if not then yes, it's out of the question in peak flower where you wouldn't want to be spraying buds with anything at all, including...
