Wow that does make sense, but it's funny because the lady at the hydro store said that phresh filter recommended that you get a fan that draws more air than the filter is rated for. What do you guys think?

The td-150 does 291 if ran on hi speed which should be enough to scrub a 200cfm filter right? And the other one is going to cool the 600w hps alone and wil only be on for that purpose. Lights off, one td-150 will be off for the remainder of darkness and filter fan will be running in 30 minute...

Do you leave your tent closed at all times? Leaving it open while the light is on will help cool temps by 4-5 degrees and maybe more. Just make sure that it is closed at night. The smell won't really leave the tent if you leave it open unless flowering.

Just looked up the specs and the td-200 uses 139 watts while the td-150 does 65 watts a peice. Would 293 cfm be enough to cool a 600w hps bulb? And enough to run a 6" phresh filter?

Was thinking of getting a 600w hps setup with air cooled reflector. Would a S&P TD-200(479 cfm) running through carbon filter-reflector-and out through fan or a td-150(218 cfm) cooling reflector and another one scrubbing do better to keep temperature down? Thanks in advance guys.

Td-125 might be quiet but the td-200 is a beast and really loud.

I went ahead and wrapped it with 3 layers of r-6.7 insulation and the noise went down a bit. I was wondering if getting insulated ducting would help. Maybe a duct muffler as well? The grow area is 4*4*7; 472 cfm should be plenty, correct?

What insulation should I go with? R-30? Would I still need a box around the fan with insulation or jus the insulation itself? Bugie cords?

I now have my fan inside my tent; should I build a box with insulation and put it outside the tent? Would it be more effective inside the tent? I just don't want it taking up so much room.

I bought a fan the other day by S&P that does 530cfm on high and 472cfm I believe on low. I wired for 472cfm and man this thing is loud. What can I do to quiet this thing because Its located in the back room but I can hear it at the front door! I believe most of my noise is from the inline fan...

Thanks for the response. Say if I were to use a 400cfm filter with a matching fan, would that be overkill and a waste of money? If so, do you guys have any suggestions for a fan and a filter?

Hey there, I'm not good with electronics or cooling but how exactly did you use the 5200btu to cool down the resevoir? I don't know how A/c units work. Do you have to hook it up to an outlet or anything? How does this all work?
