    New RDWC Build, Opinions

I got the buckets to work. I had to use a 1 13/16" hole saw. Homz??

Has anyone else had issues with 5 gallon buckets cracking while trying to insert pvc into grommets or uniseals? I have put little vertical tears in about 6 buckets. Starting to get frustrated

I loved the tote idea with multiple net pots. I just didn't like the amount of water that the 27gals took to fill. That was my only gripe. My 600gph does not have the female end under the filter. I think my 396 does though. I'll try using that to start with

Yeah now I'm looking at the active Aqua 550gph. I'll see what Jedi reports though. I'm just tired of buying equipment over and over again. Lol. I have pumps for days all submersible though. I have a 1/4hp chiller. Forgot to add that. Hey major blazer, is the insulation that's on your buckets...

What size should I stay with? I'm assuming I should stick with inline rather than submersible just to keep the heat down, correct?

I think that 1" return might end up being a little too small to keep up with my 900Gph mag drive pump when I have all 8 buckets rocking. I am actually thinking that my 1.25" might be a tad too small :(

cant get pvc pipe in uniseal

First off in my experience cutting the pipes at an angle makes it harder. It's easier if you leave them flat and use sandpaper to bevel the edges. Also throw the uniseals in hot water for 5-10 mins then simple dish soap on the pipe and in the seal. Make sure you have a friend step in the bucket...

Is that 1" return line big enough? Are you running undercurrent or waterfalls in each bucket? What size line if doing waterfall? And how many buckets are you running with the 1"? I plan on doing 8.

    New RDWC Build, Opinions

Well, I scrapped my original idea of using the HD 27 gal totes, and decided that individual 5 gallon buckets would save a lot more time, space and water. I am planning on using the GH areoflo 1.25" grommets, with 1.25" pvc for my return line. Has anyone had any experience with these grommets...

Having a issue that I can't identify. Please Help!

I am back to tap water, had some issues with RO water, I have since ironed them out an will be running RO next run. I am running JR Peters Hydro FEed, along with that I add in some Dynagro Bloom for the extra phosphorus, and Protek. Been running this line up for a while, seems to be this one...

Having a issue that I can't identify. Please Help!

So I have one strain that seems to be doing this every time about 3 weeks out from harvest. All of the fan leaves turn this color. Not sure what is going on, if it is just the strain or something environmental etc.... Growing in 70/30 coco/perlite, EC is 1.36 in a DTW top feed system. Just...

Major issues after switching to RO water

I just ordered a Re-Mineralzation add on for my RO unit. I am hoping that this will alleviate my issue with the Cal-Mag by adding it and other trace minerals back into my water. Please let me know if you have used one of these, seems to be a cheaper alternative than adding what could be gallons...

Major issues after switching to RO water

I actually just fired it up last night to make a 55gal drum up for some foiler sprays. I made up a batch of amended coco, so I may try hand watering a few plants RO for a bit to see how the recipe works :-) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Rollitup mobile app

I think I am over watering??

The yield in that specific one was not that good at all. I am using some powerful pumps I think 700GPH per 20 pots, and each pot has a water stake. As far as the fabric pots, I did get the Root Pots by Aurora. I did find them to be MUCH cheaper than the original Smart Pot. I am going to go...

I think I am over watering??

Well after much research these past few days into roots and microbs, I took a look at one of my harvested plants root systems. Eeeek I am ashamed, I am not sure if I am just over watering them, or what, but these are just pitiful compared to some that I have seen. Could this be why some of...

Major issues after switching to RO water

I ended up giving up on the RO water. Not sure if it was the units that I bought, but it was much more trouble than it was worth. Plus my water bill went through the roof lol. Back to tap water, so back to healthy green luscious plants. I guess the old saying 'don't fix what isn't broken' holds...

How many plants per 3x6 table?

Honestly the bug problems was a result of my neglect. Due to working 60+ he's a week I was not keeping an eye on things as I should and it got out of hand. It is fully under control now though. I have about 20 per table with a 3 week veg time per. Gives room for light to penetrate and for me to...

How many plants per 3x6 table?

I have two 3x6' tables, I am running a DTW system, and have manifolds built for each table that feed 32 sites each. However even in a SOG style it seems that 32 plants per 3x6 was WAY too hard to control and work with. Ended up with bugs and that was a nightmare. Since then I knocked it back to...

    My Carbon Filter Sucks.

I bought a filter from HTG a few years back. Same thing, only lasted a month if that. Those "tall boys" are all made in china with crappy carbon. I contacted the owner to talk to them about it, they did not know too much about them, they just resold them. Get yourself a Phresh (I am currently...
