    CXB 3590 CB Build

I have no experience on what cobs are easier to install. The 3590s are really easy with the cob holders. As for power tools the only thing used was a cordless drill.

Update maybe flip next week Friday. Growth is really good and very strong plants. These seem way ahead compared to the metal halide system.

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Plants are really starting to take shape now. Very noticeable growth daily and nice and compact. We implement alot of super cropping into our vegging. We never top the plants. Hopefully we'll veg for another 7days or so and once they hit the net well flip and then train the first 3 weeks of...

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Yep I have Noticed alot of people moving to the 3500k spectrum some even 4000k. May build a panel of each as we progress over this next 12months. I don't think 3000k will cause any issues as grows have been completed with some great results. I also don't think that the slight shifts in spectrum...

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

Hey supra could you go into a bit more detail on measuring temp droop. An just a quick question does dimming the cobs via potentiometers increase cob efficiency?

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

I used the thinner base plate heat sinks and haven't really noticed an issue. My cobs are running fine and my Heatsinks barely get warm. Unfortunately nothing scientific how supra does it but I hope it helps

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Were very happy with the lenses I don't really have much lost light to the sides. There's no set height I'm just looking at damage to the leaves, intensity may cause issues but I'm yet to see anything. A potentiometer is a must. We should have done that way before we set the light up. That...

    CXB 3590 CB Build

I haven't really got anything to compare the lenses to. I just thought it would be a good idea as I've put a cob over every plant and would much rather have the lights focused over the plant with minimal spread. Thanks

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Heat... nothing at all... all the heat is at the top of the tent away from the canopy. We've got about 6k hps to convert over the next 12months. Will not use anything else except for cobs.

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Update: there starting to do there thing now. We're still watching growth they seem to be stacking nodes like crazy. Seems to be very different to hps. Would have loved to see these take off with a good start. Happy with the daily growth though. Shit happens

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Gram per watt would be great. Much like supra we are getting .6 to .7 grams per watt with a 600 watt hps. Today's been a much better day. The plants are beginning to recover now. We've dimmed the light down to about 300 watts I'll update after the weekend. Also started off some new seeds...

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Nightmare start to the grow. But here's an update. The chiller wasn't switched on for about 4 days and my temps were about 26 degrees. Our roots got damaged quite badly. The 600w led light was way too intense for freshly transplanted clones and we've only just got the dimmable function...

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Hey Supra, we did want to dim, but havent got our heads round the process, we know we need a potentiometer for the driver but as we have 3 drivers running do we use 100k per driver? Im pretty sure we used 3000k, I will double check. I think i have 14 fins again i will double check that. I use...

    CXB 3590 CB Build

We finished the final panel yesterday, so i took some more photos on how it all went together. I dont think youd get a good fit on smaller diameter. Maybe 90mm at a really tight fit.

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Hey bicit, i went with 100mm glass 60 degree lenses (6$each and heavy as fuck) Im not interested in Spread as i have assigned one cob per plant in my setup. Yea church im hoping to document a side by side hps/cob grow as i normally run 2 600w hps per tent. This time ill be using the cob light on...

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Hey test, The CD bin was used at 3000k The wire i will double check as i purchasd about 4 different kinds. Some would not hold securely into the connectors There was no trouble mounting the holders. I seen a couple videos on youtube. But in the end my bro just used a 4mm hss bit and some self...

    CXB 3590 CB Build

Just thought id contribute a bit back to the forum after learning so much. Me and my bro had a bit of time free this week to get all the equipment sorted The full build will consist of 12 CXB 3590. We bought 3 heat sinks measuring 1200mm X 165mm X 45mm and mounted 4 cobs per heat sink using cob...
