I would pick something that you can keep consistent. Most clubs want a half pound minimum of an individual strain, with a pound being preferred. If you can't achieve this with a multi-strain grow, then don't. If you grow quality medicine, and you can grow enough, the rest is easy.

I germinate in rapid rooters, and transplant to FFOF when the first little nub-leaves turn green and open up. Every seedling I've ever popped straight in to FFOF has thrived. I think this "nute burn" people get might be associated with other conditions being less than optimal.
