Doesn’t an HPS light put off heat? While thinking on this topic I’m wondering if a light can be an additional heat source for a winter grow. I’ve looked at the prices on the hps as well for the 600watt range which was cheaper than I thought.

I’m not sure of the heat that they put off but I don’t think they would do anything noticeable outside. I often read of folks having multi light set ups. The other concern as @bsett mentioned above, is seeing what adjustments you will have to make for any differences in the grow environment.

I’m not an inside grower but I don’t think those lights are going to melt snow from your roof or cause any concern like that.

I’m lucky so far but worried about any cool and wet spells. That’s a good point about the buds soaking the rain.

Does a foxtail welcome mold or rot? It seems like rain could get down in them. I’m paranoid of rot at this stage.

If I make it to harvest with success it will be my first organic grow. All I’ve used is good soil from old downed trees out in the woods, an organic fertilizer twice, leaf mold and water. I’m building a no till bed in my garden now too in hopes of a legal run one day. You won’t have a problem...

My last Neem spray was 10 days ago. What is the Neem meal for? @SchmoeJoe, I’ve read to be careful as even tho Neem was organic, it could still cause health issues. I had decided that I would stop on that last one just for caution. I’m just so fearful of losing these this late in the game.

Thank you, I’ve been using Neem weekly and I’m lucky to have been catching a breeze on this hill but I’m in the humid south. I will go back and check for more PM in the morning. I’ll have to get some green cure or baking soda quick.
