If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

Wow, those quantum boards are pretty bad ass... and I really like the idea of spreading the light source more evenly across the canopy. 1 board, and supplement with some far red... or the extra cheap chinese LEDs I got kicking around during flower... God damn it man, you guys change my mind...

If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

Ah, my bad... still learning all the lingo. I will be drawing air through my carbon filter located inside the grow closet, and venting to the external room. I'm basically converting half a closet into a stealth grow room. The venting will go into a room beside, and I'll be insulating the...

If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

Unless my scrubbing can vent the heat enough... then yes heat can be an issue. (Scrub is a priority, so a slow draw through to ensure smell is gone) I have A.C. in the house and the ambient room temp in this area of the house is 17C. I just am worried that mh/hps will require external exhaust...

If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

I have flip flopped back to LED. The price was nice for an mh/hps but I really would rather put 100 bucks more into the beginning to ensure I don't have to do a huge revamp mid grow cause of heat issues. Just waiting for the next pay cheque and cobkits.com will be getting my business. Much...

If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

I have been looking around and I could get an mh/hps 600w with 50/75/100% ballast for $100 to the door. I have been really looking at LED because of me not wanting to worry about heat. If Is this the correct driver for 3 luminous? https://cobkits.com/product/meanwell-hlg-120h-48a/

I have been looking around and I could get an mh/hps 600w with 50/75/100% ballast for $100 to the door. I have been really looking at LED because of me not wanting to worry about heat. If I was scrubbing just enough for the sealed room and my ambient temp outside the sealed room is...

If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

I have a few other strains on the way too but I bough a small pack of widow to learn from... Once I got 3-4 single plant grows I got a few interesting strains to try. Lots of websites (Not just bank sites) said widows were fairly resilient.

If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

That information came from the seed sites in their newbie sections or their blogs. They could be full of shit but I had to start somewhere. I like what they say about the high too. The whole point of me doing this grow is because the supply in my little hick town is complete shit. So long as...

DIY Scrubber - check my math

Did I do some math wrong? Or is my carbon weight per cubic inch wrong? I'm DIY'ing a 16 inch scrubber. External radius = 3 inch, internal radius = 2 inches. (6 inch and 4 inch ducting) If I do cylindrical volume, the 6 inch diameter cylinder's volume - the 4 inch one should give me the...

If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

I appreciate all the feedback. I am budgeting everything out. I have taken into account all the bits I need to be successful with an indoor grow (noots scrubbing. Light seal. Grow material. Etc) I have $150 For lighting. Led preferred or I have to rethink my ventilation. That being said I...

Critique my concept: PC fan carbon scrubber

I see you already figured out that CPU fans won't cut it. They can't even move air when fighting heavy temp differences. I've tested this in my ice shack and they can't pull 30 degree celcius air down 8ft to the floor if the floor air is only 5 degrees celcius. The cold air is too heavy/hot air...

If you only had $150 for a single plant grow light what would you do?

I'm starting my first grow. The supply in my area of good quality weed is horrible... so I figured I'd grow myself. That being said, the wifey doesn't want me spending oodles to get it done so I'm on a tight budget for my first grow. If I can prove it's worth it, she may let me upgrade on my...

    Watts per Square Foot Explain?

Can somebody explain the watts/sqft number people are using on these forums? Or point me in the right direction for the answer? I see many people saying 35-40 watts/sqft is optimal, but what's the math/science behind that? Wouldn't something like that only be reliable if you are standardizing...

Just enough DIY small grow closet

I was definitely looking at SOG as quantity is not my main goal... a couple good nugs from one grow is enough. That being said, I was also thinking of rejiggin the grow wardrobe to give me a bit more room in the "main" grow section. It's a 2x4x6 closet. It has a built in divider that looks...
