i'll be your huckleberry, what makes you think that diagram is for on during the day? photocells work to turn on when it's dark so, i'd use diagram #1 on the pdf you posted or run it off a timer.. more better.. then you can vary the c02 delivery

my guess, since you have so many different things going on is double and triple check your pH.. looks like you may have some pH drift causing various lockouts..

while taste and appearance are both subjective, as is smell, i'll grant you that water curing weed will tend to slightly diminish certain smells and taste, but the smoke is much smoother and cleaner IMHO.. and it does answer the question of drying to quickly... to each their own..
