Thinking about fixing attic up for growing: Electrical question breaker box

You are quite a bit further North than me. Here we are in the middle of winter and the minimum temperature here today is 10C, looking at the average today @ 54N it is 4C. I have been growing in Lofts for years and I don't have a problem. The thing about lofts is they are really easy to insulate.

What lighting are you using to get that kind of growth in 4 weeks? It looks good BTW.

I don't work it out so scientifically. I always figure that the companies behind any of these products want you to use the maximum possible dose, they sell more product that way. After a bit of trial and error I decided that a 5ml spoonful was about the right measure for a seedling.

    Soil & Nute questions

I use it from day one. My soil has nutrients, enough for up to six weeks of vegetative growth. If I plant a small seedling in a 17L pot (3.8 Imp Gallon/4.5 US Gallon), I can have roots at the bottom of the pot in a week.

It is Mycorrhizal Fungi, it works really well IMHO. You have to use it from day one, from what I have read it can take up to 4 weeks to get going.

I use that, way cheaper than any of the "Cannabis" brands and does just as good. I put a 5ml spoonful in the root hole when I first plant the seedling. I have a packet here and it doesn't have any mention of an NPK ratio on the bag. AFAIK, in order to be sold in the UK it would have to...

    Soil & Nute questions

I only plain water for seedlings. The medium is good for at least 4 weeks of veg. It says 6 weeks on the bag, but I take that with a pinch of salt. I only feed from when I flip the lights.

No idea. The bottle says a capful per Imperial Gallon. That works out at 4.5ml per litre, so half of that.

That depends where you are in the world. The winters here rarely get super cold, a simple 80w tube heater keeps it warm enough and a hot day in the summer here would be 25C max, easy enough to keep cool.

    Soil & Nute questions

I use a regular potting mix and a Liquid Seaweed Tomato feed, called Tomorite. I let them have 4 weeks with plain water and then give them Tomorite at half strength to the end. During flower every other feed gets a tablespoon of Epsom Salt per imperial gallon of water.

    Uk outdoor grow

I did some Autos outside last year. Firstly I germinated them on paper towels. Then I planted them in Big Tom tomato compost mixed with a little perlite. The pots I used were 20L. I then put them in a sunny spot in the garden. I watered them with plain water once a week, or when the pot...

UK growers? Prepayment costs ? Advice

Which be even more reason to drop the tax. They are about to waste a whole fuck ton of money having us pay the tax on electricity bills only to give it back in the form of a electricity rebate and a council tax rebate. Surely it would be cheaper in the long run to just not have the tax.

UK growers? Prepayment costs ? Advice

Remember that at least 20% of that 33p will be tax. Why they don't just drop the tax on it is beyond me.

UK growers? Prepayment costs ? Advice

At the moment I am paying £0.215p per kWH. We will see how it goes. I imagine that will be 33p per kWH before too long. The Chancellor has announced I should be getting £350 per year in rebates. I will believe that when I see it.
