wouldnt it be better to start in a smaller container? With the root ball fully developed into said smaller container after a transplant plants go nuts. Kinda off topic but not really:bigjoint: I forgot to add that when you plant into large containers you run into the problems you have.

Yeah but nodes zig zagging could just mean some hermi trait that stuck. Does your soil dry out all the way? Cuz maybe on the surface it dries while underneath its wet. That could cause some root issues and make it look like a bunch of different stuff.

Im not certain but arent zig zagging nodes traits of a male plant?
