No need for the 5g, if your flipping right after transplanting. Even with an extra 1-2 weeks in veg, the 3 will make it. It really comes down to how often you want to water towards the end of flower.

I transplant from 1g to 3g right before I flip too. Usually veg 1 week extra in the 3g. I have to water about 2x a week by the time I harvest (10 weeks).

I think I agree with you... not sure on if I’m getting the right terminology, but organics are not available to the plant until another organism eats and poops it out, but Synthetics are readily available. Here’s the thing I don’t understand. N P K is still N P K. There aren’t 10 different...

I’m trying a Feed, Water, Supps, Water cycle, I only fed 2x in flower.

Half way into flower, drop CalMag and start MagSulfur and Sweet. I use GH Floranectar, it has both.

Can tell you how I failed... too much light, too much water, too many nutrients. And add, bought all new equipment. Don’t do what I did, and you’ll finish.

Less is more.

I should have learned to grow with used, cheap, inexpensive equipment first before buying any high end lighting. I killed my first 2 Grow’s with too much light (and over watered, and too many Nutes). All I’m saying is I should have learned to drive before wrecking a new car.

Funny you mention the outside grow comparison as we were just discussing that topic. Lights and Nute manufacturers all say they help mimic outdoor grows, b/c outdoors is magic, but indoor bud is more expensive, WTF?!
