what kind of flies? Normal house flies won't hurt you plants.. you can use neem oil. Organic and does a great job

ya especially in veg then you wanna get a supplement, i use general organics calmag+ because i have used them all and find that this works the best.. if your in dirt don't bother with most other calmags cause i have tried most of them and this one seems to work the best

sometimes you can never tell and have to clone it and flower it to find out but by at least a month old if she (hopefully) is gonna show you should see by then This is what you will see if she is female
