i took my water sample from my kitchen cold line. only my hot is soft

i have a water softener, but not on my "weed faucet". water softeners use resin to remove calcium and magnesium from the water. the ca and mg ions bond with the resin. then they flush the minerals from the resin with salt water.

wouldn't the softener remove the minerals? i dont know whats up. test time, i guess

i picked up some 10 gal bags on my lunch... the 15 gal looked way too big, but what do i know, right. lol I'll put them into the 10's and see if they can make to finish with only a few top dressings

i checked my tap water quick at lunch and the cheapie vivosun tds pen read 438 ppm and the ph was 6.8. tds was higher today than i remember it being before, so....

thanks for taking the time to try and help, I do appreciate it. had lots of time to train while waiting on an auto to finish... i have 4 cuttings of the GDP im hoping will root soon, so maybe these 2 will veg another month or so... hopefully lots of time to work out my kinks.

i amended my medium as per instructions from mfg to start... then first top dress looks to be about 3.5 weeks in and each 3rd week after. my top dress is 3 tbs per 5 gal, which is 2 tbs less than recommend 1 tbs per gal

they're both in 5 gal now and there is a bit of room. I'll see if i have anything bigger than 7 gal hanging around. thanks everyone! i really appreciate the input. :)

i did say 4-4-4 and 2-8-4, but i had meant a dry fertilizer. my mistake, sorry.

how would you remedy a soil ph issue?

if i am using dry amendments how would i go about that?

hmmmm.... guess it couldn't hurt to up pot to a 7 gal. ill take a peek down below as well. my watering game needs improvement, for sure. ouch.

more like 80° instead of 76°? as soon as i remove the flowering auto i am going to bring up humidity to 65% as well...

negative. i do not measure either. i am using LED lighting. i was thinking of going 18/6....

thanks for noticing. lol that crispy cola is from an auto thats in with them. its only got days left. that leaf damage occurred about a month ago on that one. It is possible I'll have to go easier on the fertilizer going forward.

city water, not too hard. mineral deposits take a while to build up. i haven't checked ppm of my tap. ill do that later today. i havent added anything other than Epsom with a few waterings recently.

gaia green 4-4-4 with bit of 2-8-4 and tap water up to this point. occasionally a cup and a half EWC.

I've tried giving less N the last 2 top dresses. I dont know how much lower I can go. would the occasional added EWC 2-0-0 be enough to have excess N, maybe?
